Driving Height
@Expatman They got your business and others who bought 1 or more Yeti which were excellent for higher seating. The issue was and is that the Style & Practicality icon did not sell in enough numbers, be that in the UK or globally. Less than a million produced and sold in the years produced. Just like the Roomster which also suited many, but many never bought them or even considered looking as they were a bit odd looking. That can be an issue in that unless people open the doors and get in a car that the outside has put them off then they might never know how good they are. http://carsalesbase.com/europe-skoda-kamiq

Enyaq iV interiors : suite, lounge, loft etc
If they are built and at dealers and not selling then they are possible bargains, same as Demonstrators that are there to be punted after 3 months if the supply exceeds the demand for them. If there are waiting lists and the demand is such that people will take what ever they can get then maybe little in the way of discounts can be expected. If you like what you see when you look in the car then that is enough for many people buying cars from stock, and if they do not like and have to wait for exactly what they want from the factory that is their choice. It will be a while yet till we know what those getting the cars really like, but as it is the Dealerships will be ordering in highly specced cars.

Eccentric EV Conversion Business in UK
To have that you need to be converting cars, as new cars in the EU / Europe or Globally need the 'new stuff'. So Lane Assist, Anti Collision, Auto Braking are all passed by the EU for standard factory fit by certain dates. Then the various requirements on crash testing, pedestrian testing etc, which is why many vehicles were discontinued. As it is in the UK this is likely the best time to do EV conversions before the DVLA / DVSA / DfT catch on and start 'inspections' again on Radical Modifications. Instead of making things difficult the UK Government should be helping in Job Creation and training opportunities and drop the VAT on Conversions and Parts and be giving Grants to those 'Converting a ICE to an EV', in the way they give grants for the Purchase of New EV's.

New recall
You can not, but it needs to be a trend that owners start. Borrow their demonstrator or courtesy car and keep it until your vehicle is all sorted. In the past when Dealership have been incompetent people have invoiced them for their expenses, hourly rate, hire car if no courtesy car provided. People & the Car Magazines will eventually get to know VW Group & other manufacturers have taken the pith releasing vehicles that were not 'Fit for purpose' at the time of sale, They need hit in the pocket.

£1.50 per mile??!!
So were have the reports come from and were are they published? Someone is flying a kite. What Rishi Sunak & Grant Shapps know is the lower pollution figures that the UK are tied into and by when or the billions it will cost in penalties. You need to get people in EV's like happened in Dundee before then charging them for being early adopters. As it is frightening people off seems to be something maybe those with investments in Oil & gas production might want. https://www.business-live.co.uk/ports-logistics/rise-electric-cars-could-lead-19293189 The Daily Fail. The Times.... Will spin a story in their way. https://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6381279.stm 2007 and before EV's were a twinkle in the eye of a Chancellor. EDIT. So reading the stories the first thing that comes to mind is that while the VED might cover the 4 countries of the UK, & the UK Chancellor has control of Fuel Taxes & Duty, he does not have any say in Scotland on the cost of building or repairing roads or charging for the use of bridges, tunnels or 'toll roads', that is with the Scottish Government who have different Pollution Reduction plans than the UK Government have. So England & Wales or maybe just for England reports from whoever and wherever. http://reformscotland.com/2019/04/road-pricing https://spice-spotlight.scot/2019/12/04/you-get-what-you-pay-for-20-years-of-devolved-transport-policy

New recall
Glitches / Snagging faults, but the cars were released for delivery because Skoda / VW want the cars registered and counted into getting the lower Average Co2 g/km that they need to save paying penalties / fines. So inconvenience the customers. Be sure to ask for the expenses of trips back and fore to the dealership to get matter rectified. VW Group UK will no doubt be wanting tax breaks from HMRC UK just like they got with the Emissions Cheat when they had to spend money to deal with an issue of their making.

Driving Height
The term Crossover means nothing as the Kamiq is not available as FWD & AWD, it is just a slightly higher car than a Scala or Fabia, and the Scala is available with a 10 mm ride height difference in some markets. A high seating position can be nice, but then tall people can need a high top to the windscreen so that they can see out, or they might well need the seat low. Thankfully Skoda have a choice of models to suit many, just not the drive train choice in each of the models where the Karoq is the smallest vehicle they do that has AWD as an option.

Driving Height
You need to step into them. The platforms are the same and if the suspension and tyre circumference were then the floor is. But then the sill height is different, floor to sill, then floor to seat base with the seats at the lowest in both cars being compared. The rake of the screen / A pillars are different as is the vehicles roof heights. There really is no way of seeing what suits without getting your bum on the seats in the cars.

Spot lights
There are threads in various forums in Briskoda on members fitting LED Lightbars which make sense as they can be discrete if you want that and work very well. Maybe using a quality Registration Plate mount and LED Light Bar or 2.

Offroad/ Snow mode.
@Channel Have you still not yet had a chance to drive your car in the snow and offroad in snow to see what you can and can not do? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/483787-karoq-in-the-snow http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/483589-karoq-4x4 http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/473936-skoda-4x4-system http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/473160-off-road-button

New recall
Watch Skoda UK. Sometimes they forget to tell the DVSA. Sometimes they do not actually contact Registered Keepers as they should as the DVLA give them the contact information of registered keepers. Owners should not need to find out about recalls on the social media / forums. Recall, Recall Action, Service Campaign and Skoda Secret Service Service Campaign gets lost in the translation from German to Czech to English. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-recall

Suggestions for rough surface and windy roads
Camera was a bit steamy as a bit of a cold morning. The members recommended the Latitudes for the very reason that they suit rough conditions. I never used those for my serious winter / offroad car that had to be used on road, i might try them in the future, instead i fitted Yokohama G012 Geolander AT-S as used on the Ariel Nomad as the OEM road tyre fitment. They had a high speed and load rating but actually in snow they were just so so.

If you had them at 35psi then not an issue there then. Did you set that pressures personally? What tyres did you have on before those tyres, and for how many miles? What were they like when removed?

Winter is coming!
Welcome. Nice and so is the car at the rear. A we taste of winter is arriving in the North of the UK this week, but nothing that needs the fitting of studded tyres. Have fun.

So that is pretty crap. They are not crap tyres though. Well not usually So what pressure did you run those at and are the 205/40 R17's? What load and speed rating are those ones?

My Insurance notified me of my vehicle involved in an accident! Seems very easy to prove it was not thankfully.
I am a bit more curious now. Checking the general area where it supposedly occurred a see that on Wakefield Road Huddersfield is a business that describes it's self as 'The UK's largest salvage and recycling company'. Nothing to do with anything surely...

My Insurance notified me of my vehicle involved in an accident! Seems very easy to prove it was not thankfully.
I thought the Email was a Scam so read carefully, and called my Insurer on the correct phone number and spoke with them. Not some error as it is my Registration Number that is being said to have been in an accident 321 miles from anyplace my vehicle has been. So maybe some mistake, or maybe the Private Plate that my car has on is being used on a car i traded in in 2018 and i got speeding tickets for in 2018 even though it was back on its Original Registration when it was put to auction by Scotland's Biggest Car Dealership Group. The person that has given my Reg number can hopefully describe my vehicle, make & colour and its very distinctive features. Anyway, the accident was on Sunday the 22nd according to my Insurers. I have never been so please that my car failed it's MOT on the 16th and then went for work 100 yards away to get a broken spring replaced and new brake discs and calipers and the wrong parts arrived for it and it sat on the ramp without brakes or wheels fitted and was only re-tested last week on the 25th. So while not worried i am left wondering what the story is over someone giving my pretty easy to remember reg number, and if possibly the car i have not had since Jan 2018 might have the same Number Plate showing. Hopefully i will be hearing something from my insurance company.

Is just getting 3 of the Avon ZV7 fitted not worth doing and have matching tyres? (Since you are not in Texas!) There must be some reason the car is only getting 12,000 miles wear from Goodyear EfficientGrip. eg maybe something up with the car or the pressures you run. Nothing wrong with fitting Avon ZV7's as a pair now and when another pair needed getting the same and running all 4 the same. Their Avon ZX7 are a tyre they say is a High Performance 4x4 tyre. 2 winters back i had Avon WV7 Snow tyres on, i liked them but another member in Aberdeenshire did not. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/459700-avon-wv7-snow http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/461444-short-winter-tyre-complaint-thread
