1.0TSI Normal idle rpm when engine is cold?
Hopefully someone with a 2017 1.0TSI will be along saying how theirs acts. In my experience of 1.0TSI with a DSG it takes about 40 seconds to drop from around 1,100 rpm to 800-850 when sitting after starting.

New cambelt snapped, will skoda fix my engine?
@Amin01 ? Which Dealership & authorised Skoda Repairer was it that did the work on your car. Is the business in Administration? The owners / directors / workshop manager / master tech etc can not have disappeared off the face of the earth and Skoda UK know who and where they are?

Are you starting the car with AC on or on Auto?, and have you are have you tried it with it off

2 year service plan - brake fluid?
@CookieMonster87 It would explain it. Makes you wonder why Dealership staff do not just tell that story rather than making one up.

TSI or TDI?
@Schtum 12 years ago is so very 2008. Many of us had Euro 4 diesels and no issues. (i have a 2006 Turbo Diesel Automatic as a daily driver, my 2016 TDI would not have liked lockdown type use. 5 days of short trips and the DPF light was on) 12 year old Golfs has not got much to do with a Euro 6 TSI and DPF's and SCR (AdBlue), other than that is a good choice of worry free diesel driving. Your 2016 Yeti & Karoq 2.0TDI 190 is very much more interesting as to how they like bimbling about the village.

2 year service plan - brake fluid?
The price offered does come when having a service carried out. Those are services at 1,2,3 years or more, and extended scope is that you might want at 3 years now. The offer does not exclude 1st and 2nd services, or a 3rd before the car is out of warranty. http://skoda.co.uk/owners/servicing-maintenance-fixed-price

2 year service plan - brake fluid?
@CookieMonster87 I think they just told a story that is often told about under 3 years and 3 years and older that was true of the old 'Fixed Service Menu' over 18 months ago. Not showing on the websites now, unless they showed you it in print.

2 year service plan - brake fluid?
Nobody knows how others drive their vehicles and if they are people that use the brakes much or hardly and use the gears to reduce speeds. If they are sporting drivers like many driving gods on this forum that drive on private roads in a parallel universe of 120 mph corners. Do they live in high alpine pass areas or at sea level and park on the beach regularly. @octavia5 Is there still speed cameras at Wellingborough placed just in the right place to catch those heading to Santa Pod for the first time and all excited about doing some quick driving without much need for brakes?

Paddle extensions
If it still has the original wheel from an early car then be sure to get those that suit the paddle shape. Loads of threads. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/394103-dsg-paddle-extension-help

NZ Kamiq 5yr warranty?
I was hoping that a member in New Zealand could say if the WLTP & RDE2 matters in NZ as it seems not to in Australia. As to same engines they can get the same ps & Nm but be mapped differently for different world regions. That is to get WLTP / RDE / RDE2 test results, or maybe just to drive nicely without the manufacturer having to worry about them being retested as they are imported as has been happening in the UK since 2016 with some VW Group vehicles.

1.0TSI Normal idle rpm when engine is cold?
OK, so no GPF, but your car is remapped.

1.0TSI Normal idle rpm when engine is cold?
When was your car built? With a GPF might behave differently from without.

1.0TSI Normal idle rpm when engine is cold?
@steslatt ? What if you start it and do not drive off but keep the engine running, how long until the RPM drops? ? Do you have a 1.0TSI with or without a GPF, and a manual or a DSG?

- ‘Premium’ diesel
@dervdave What is it that makes Royal Dutch Shell premium diesel as sold in the UK better than other Wholeseler / Retailers Premium Diesel? ? Are you a fuel tester or in someway involved in the production of road fuels? Maybe something for people with the relevant newer engines and buying these fuels. Maybe not something that need concern anyone with a Euro 5 TDI Defeat Device installed to cheat testing special.- Comprehensive car check when warranty as about to expire
You could put your car into a MOT test centre 1 month before the MOT is due and not use a Main Dealer and get a MOT and maybe advisories if there is cause for any. A Skoda Dealership is the last people i would use to get a pre Warranty Expiring Health check. I know of people having one done after buying a used car and getting a clean bill of health then buying a Skoda Warranty only to have that knocked back after making valid claims on engine or DSG. Get your car serviced maybe at a dealership pre Warranty Expiry and any Warranty Work that there might be required from having had the MOT or a check by an Independent. A Skoda Dealership Technician is hardly going to tell you that your engine or gearbox sounds gubbed and it is on it's way out, unless maybe it is Darren Brown or Uri Geller.- New Landrover Defender are you up for one?
Land Rover were supposed to be doing a Basic New Defender 2 / 3 Seater Van and maybe Pickups. Well they are not doing them now. As it is they might well have been limited in the UK to the Speed Limits that apply to the weight of Light Commercial as my SWB Shogun Commercial is. The Ladder Chassis Grenadier with BMW engines being built by INEOS might well be what is bought as a Light Commercial Workhorse. They are being Road / Offroad tested now.- Engine Oil & AdBlue Consumption on the RS
@ThreeSixty When you top up the AdBlue the range might well show more than when you got the car new, and then the time after that more again. That is if the vRS behaves as other SCR vehicles can do. Sorry no idea of your engines oil capacity. Re-read your Owners Manual as it certainly does not say it consumes 0.5 ltr/ 1000 km. It is something like Can or may use, etc etc, may use more in the first 5,000 km. Same as every VW Group owners manual for many years now for Petrols, Diesels, 44kw to what ever max power engines they produce, 3,4,5,6,8,12 cylinder engines.- 2 year service plan - brake fluid?
Raise it with the Dealer Principal and boss of the person that marked your rim. Question the pricing of the Brake Fluid change, but the £60 price is when a service is being done and at Participating Dealers.- 2 year service plan - brake fluid?
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3798249/mot-failure-was-i-ripped-off 2012. There will be figures from the DVSA on how many MOT failures since the Brake Fluid has been included in the UK MOT. Maybe like the figures they have for how many cars fail their first MOT, on things like lights and light alignment, possibly off since the car left the factory and was on the road for 3 years. http://petrolprices.com/news/three-million-vehicles-taken-off-road-as-1-in-3-cars-fail-new-mot-rules- VW ID. 3 (rear wheel drive) :First Drive by Fully Charged. VW might eventually and have their family size EV at around or under the 20,000 euro or is it GBP figure they spun. Doubt it very much though. Pity the can not really get the City / small family size VW e-Up! available at that without Government Grants assisting them.- NZ Kamiq 5yr warranty?
@Scot5 I know they are different as the Yeti was and the extended Yeti was. As it is for the WLTP / World wide harmonised Light Vehicle test. That seems not to matter in Australia as they are getting the 1.4 TSI's with a 8 speed Auto into Karoq's ? Does the WLTP / RDE & now RDE2 matter in New Zealand?- 2 year service plan - brake fluid?
Ingram of Ayr's Technician or Master tech should have been out risking their life after doing a ABS sensor change and brake fluid after having had the car on the MOT Brake tester. The first Brake Fluid changes were recommended by VW Group at 2 years up until about 2010. I can not really get what those that do not believe in General Manufacturers Recommendations or Guidelines are on about if they choose to ignore them. Just carry on as you were, do your own thing then. If you can not be bothered with their experiences and knowledge then that is fine. @Scot5 Can i ask what your profession or trade is or what you are qualified in? As to 'most leases are 3 years'. That was not 'all leases are 3 years'. Motability are the biggest independent buyer of cars in the UK and they lease for 3 years and some for 5. Many fleet leases are for 3 years, and many ex Lease or Finance cars arrive at auction at 3 year old with 1 previous registered keeper. So that is a good few vehicles in the UK.- VW ID. 3 (rear wheel drive) :First Drive by Fully Charged. Youtube vid.
@lol-lol Under £39,000 even. So £38.995 maybe. They have their friendly motoring journalists and blogger / vlogger / floggers spining the £800 less than a similar spec Mk8 VW Golf. So they might just be overpriced as well. - Peugeot e-208 Videos, Real World Range. Launches LHD in sunny places where there is free bed and board then driven in the UK.
