Accidents happen, even professional drivers and riders can come a cropper at low speeds. When Boris got out the car he was seemingly a bit shaken & confused and dithering and blabbering, so police and eye witness's said very much just his usual self. Nice that armoured cars still have a crumple zone. Other broadcasters hid the reg number for some odd reason. It does the miles.

A friends head came off when he crashed his bike into a lamp post at a 30mph street corner 100 yards from my house. Only reason we could think it happened was he met someone coming the other way on his side of the road. Or he was careless that night. Road layout and buildings totally changed in 43 years but it was where the white car is in the middle of pic and that was more of a bend back then.

@Ht1 Welcome to the forum. What was the tyre pressures when you collected the car and checked and how often have you checked in 20,000 miles before the check 2 hours before this happened? ? What was the pressure you had the tyres at? ? & What was the tread depth 3 or so months ago when checked? & what miles was that at? Really it is the driver that needs to get on their knees every week or 2 when checking the tyre pressures, then they might notice uneven wear. Like they used to tell me, that is a maximum speed in ideal conditions and for you to crash there you were not driving to the conditions or not paying attention if there was no mechanical failure, so that looks to be 'Driving without due care and attention'. if not Dangerous Driving and if you had hit something or someone it could have been dangerous driving. Surely the cameras and drone have it recorded.. Then there were the eye witnesses. Police officers.

@medic565 Welcome to the forum. The tyre pressure recommendations for the tyres (Suggestions) are on a label in the fuel filler flap. You will need to reset the TPMS. If the tyres deflated by near the same amount the TPMS might not give a warning as there is not an odd reading. The grinding is rust on the discs usually until worn off. Handy if you give your posts a title that gives a clue to what the post / thread is about.

2nd Service, but at how many miles? Is it a 2 year old car, so getting not much? What is it actually getting done for £184 or £295?? Are they fitting an Air Filter & Spark plugs. Was the Pollen Filter done, and if done now is that with the £184 service? Actually a Major Service and parts changed. 3 plugs not 4 and half as much oil as a big car....

Really £150 all in for Discs and pads fitted and VAT. Bargain. (Not £150 per side...) Skoda Main Dealer Fixed Price i think used to be £249 or maybe £299. VW's fixed price which is £319 but that excludes Golf GTI, R & GTE's etc.

@davedetecting They are not stupid, they are not advertising the money they have. Like some in Scotland, they know the price of everything and the value, and do not make it easy for the HMRC. ? Are there no Farmers around where you go that are also Owners of Energy Companies as well as actually farming and owning or leasing Teslas, or ones paid not to farm for the sake of conservation? @davedetecting You maybe need to get about more around the countryside and see farmers with New Range Rovers and other rather expensive vehicles. Or go visit a Land Rover dealership and see the New Defenders prepared for hand over to the new owners. They might not all tow a Cattle Trailer or horse box with them for work but someone on the farm or in the family will be driving them. Fair point on the Emergency & Fire Services. So maybe the same applies now to Light Hybrids and Plug in Hybrids and fires, and Toyota have lots of Self Charge Hybrids on the roads without mention of accidents and fires. That sounds like a choice of fitting to EV cars that are on the road now if you choose, and they can be fitted to new cars from the Autumn. Hopefully it is a choice thing and it will not be compulsory that 21 plate and on cars 'Must have fitted green flash plates'.

@Sno_monsta I really meant have your engine removed and sent to an 'Engine Re-builder' or there is maybe some 'To be trusted' Engine builder with one sitting on an exchange basis. That is where i would expect a VW Specialist to know who to use, where a Skoda Main Dealer may not be interested in Rebuilds. There are 'specialists' in the many posts in the 1.8tsi / 2.0tsi engine failure thread.

Many Motoring Journalist comment on DSG's jerking. Usually when driving Media Cars that other Motoring Journalists have driven. Demonstrators, Hire Cars, peoples cars driven by others can behave badly until you drive a while and they then behave as you want. There are all kinds of DSG's, 7 speed twin dry clutch DSG's, 6 or 7 speed wet clutch DSG's and ones on petrol engines and ones on diesel engines so you need to try before you buy and see how they feel to yourself.

@WCKD Do you still have Side Lights (Position Lights) that you can turn on without putting on the Main Beam.? Do you have 'Parking Lights' you can put on? Head lights / Main Beam. Same thing. Headlights can be on Dipped Beam or Full Beam. Sidelights / Position lights can come on without the Main Beam / Headlights being on. One Sidelight on front and back is the Parking Lights. Put the Indicator Stalk down when Ignition off. DRL's Daytime Running Lights. But also Daylight Running Lights to be accurate.

@yesman You can store AdBlue safely in a sealed container out of the way of children or idiots for a period of time, after all it is stored in the cars AdBlue tank possibly for a year or 3 in some cars doing low annual mileages and i have never heard of anyone draining the AdBlue tank and refreshing during a cars time spent on Dealers forecourts or Lock downs. There will be plenty new cars with Adblue in that left the factory sometime late last year or early this year. Sitting parked outside, summer and winter, hot and cold temps, while someone buying 20 litres of AdBlue and decanting 10 into the car and storing 10 litres might well have it in sealed / airtight container in a shed / garage.
