  1. The top scrap offer I had for my wife's MOT'd 02 Ka was £54, lowest was £6, sold it on eBay for £135, less £10 to list, less £20 minimum final fee, so £105, better than scrapping it, plus the bloke came round, handed over cash and drove it away
  2. Has anybody got any thoughts on these fault codes, car is a Seat Ibiza 13my Address 08: Auto HVAC Labels: 6J0-820-045.CLB Control Module Part Number: 6J0 820 045 A HW: 6J0 820 045 A Component and/or Version: J301 Klimaanlage 0330 Software Coding: Work Shop Code: WSC 00049 770 00137 VCID: 244790FBE7B22C62E4-8070 2 Faults Found: 00898 - Control Circuit A/C compressor 007 - Short to Ground Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 01100111 Fault Priority: 2 Fault Frequency: 3 Reset counter: 245 Mileage: 39944 km Time Indication: 0 Date: 2033.14.12 Time: 18:57:32 01596 - Motor for Outside/Recirculated Air Flap (V154) 007 - Short to Ground Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 01100111 Fault Priority: 2 Fault Frequency: 3 Reset counter: 245 Mileage: 39944 km Time Indication: 0 Date: 2033.14.12 Time: 18:57:32
  3. Possible find it next too the front engine mounting O/S inner wing area
  4. Getting my head round this a bit now, Speaking to RossTech now on their forum, done an autoscan, and posted it for Uwe to have a look
  5. FYI, I never had any issues using a genuine micro-CAN lead with an earlier version of VCDS on this vehicle 11 plate Superb combi
  6. Done a reinstall of VCDS, still the same, I suspect it's something to do with a line of code in their software, so it looks like I'm gonna have to send my scans to them
  7. Not sure what is meant by "autoscan" Do you mean the list of controllers and all codes that come up ? I've saved something as when it says on the screen About the missing .ROD file and that I need to send it to RossTech
  8. Latest version being used, 16.8, downloaded to update from 15.4 yesterday evening,
  9. ALSO get no comms with radio, even though radio is working
  10. I get Unable to find a .ROD file for : SK_RNS310 A02007 (SK46)
  11. Yep, genuine lead, the only thing I've not done yet is register it yet as I had still had the valid licence from my other micro-CAN lead on my laptop, I assume I need to get rid of this first before I continue trying to update the new lead
  12. Never had an issue reading all control modules with a previous VCDS version I was using, 15.4 ?, but when I was trying out my new HEX-CAN lead, it asked me to update the VCDS software as well
  13. I have a problem though, not sure if it's the latest version of VCDS or my car, but there's an issue reading the Navigation module, something about unable to read or a missing .ROD file, I didn't get chance to send the scan to Rosstech though, will try again tomorrow
  14. Yes it's a RNS 310, it's just that I'm not sure which module or controller it is in though
  15. Nope, off the disc, my car is an ex-Skoda demo car I believe, and the eject button has been disabled so no one could remove the disc
  16. I've got a new sat nav map disc, but i need to enable the eject button to remove the old disc, i have done it before, but I've forgotten how to do it, so which controller is it in please ? do i need the sercurity code ? if so what is it please ? TIA Rich
  17. My wife's 63 plate Ibiza Toca has the same problem, no air con, switch lights up, full gas in system etc, it's just spent three hours in the hands of a Seat mastertech today, and he couldn't find out what's wrong with it, they want it for three days to strip it down, not good Might try a pressure sensor myself, but it's still under warranty
  18. So checked my engine code, got CDAB, is this good or bad in terms of oil consumption problems, just gone over 50k
  19. It is something to do with the plenum chamber, can't remember what the repair was though, mine has done it once or twice in the two years I've owned it, but not enough to warrant further investigation
  20. Not good for me as I have an 11 plate Although no idea of engine code, and not noticeably using oil though and @nearly 50k
