  1. Thanks I don't have that kind of money available at the moment. When I do I'll probably come back to you. If it's gone by then that's my problem.
  2. Thanks. Do you have the code for it, and how much are you wanting?
  3. Hi. Do you still have this? Does it have Bluetooth?
  4. We have lane assist on our i30. It does what it's supposed to do really well. No sharp moves, just gentle nudges to keep the car in the lane. The problem with it in our car is that when it's on and you turn slightly you get feedback from the steering wheel as if one of the wheels is slightly unbalanced. So I don't use it any more.
  5. I've had broken wires in fbe bellows of my Roomster tailgate and passenger doors. You can buy patch looms on Amazon.
  6. Thanks. Only asking as some of us are looking out for used bluetooth units to upgrade from the very basic radios.
  7. Thanks. I've replied. Not sure if it's working now.
  8. Thanks. I've sent you a private message about payment. Please let me know if you haven't received it. Thanks.
  9. Hi. If this is still available can I take it please? It would need to be posted. I'll pm you.
  10. I have a small Garmin in one car. Easy to fit yourself, and as Dooge said it's tiny and unintrusive. It might be just my setup, but it doesn't work great with the app on my phone. Last week I fitted a Nextbase camera in the other car (now the boy has passed his test!). It's bigger but the interface seems better and easier to use. Not really tested it much though. They're really very easy to fit yourself. Glue the camera up, and just push the cable between the headlining and windscreen, then down inside the a-pillar. You can push it into the gap or pull the plastics back, but just make sure it doesn't interfere with any airbag that may be in there. Then connect the cable to an earth and pick a fuse for the live to connect to in the fusebox using one of those piggyback connectors.
  11. Hi Which Skoda radios will fit a 2014 Roomster (or Fabia, I believe the dash is the same)? I have the basic radio but want Bluetooth. I know I'm likely to need a BT adaptor in the back. Asking because some units I'm seeing aren't square but have tapering sides. Thanks
  12. Are these pretty standard? I've just noticed one of the torx screws either side of the fuse box is missing, and need to know what to replace it with.
  13. Hi We have a 2014 Roomster which we've had from new, and we've never had such a useful workhorse of a car. It's let down by the radio, which is bog standard big Skoda unit. No bluetooth, aux socket by the handbrake. I'd like to get bluetooth in the car, so I'm wondering what unit I could swap out to get this, without spending much money. Any ideas? Happy to go used, and I see units on here from time to time, but I don't know what would fit. Thanks Paul
  14. Thanks for this. How easy did you find it? The new longer wires push easily back into the car? And were you worried about losing wires into the car?
  15. I'm watching this with interest. My rear wiper stopped working so I pulled the rubber boot back between the tailgate and car and found one of the wires had broken. I've also discovered that the washer pipe is broken. What size is the pipe? I'm going to get some connectors and fix it that way. In terms of the boot, it's not stuck down. There are plastic grommets clipped into the metal at both holes, and the rubber fits around a lip in both. Get a screwdriver under the rubber and you can gently peel it away from the grommet.
  16. Any tips on removing the inner panel on the tailgate and the plastic wiper motor cover? The wiper has stopped working and I need to get to it. Thanks in advance.
  17. Always on the roof for me. They're out of the way and so clear of being hit, it's easier to get to the boot, they're easier to secure and you can leave the bars on. One of our cars has the carriers up there permanently. We've never noticed an effect on fuel economy. The trick with bars is to buy used. When people change cars and the bars won't fit the new one they stick them on ebay. I've just bought an as-new £260 Thule set for £120 off FB Market Place. For options for your car go to roof box.co.uk and put your reg number in. You'll get the options available to you with fair reviews. If you're buying new I'd recommend roofbox.co.uk. We've used them many times and their support is exceptional.
  18. Mine is 6 years old, owned from new, 72k miles. Love it. I've only had to pay for servicing, one set of brake pads, and tyres. The passenger door mirror has stopped moving but apart from that we've never had a problem with it. It's a great car.
  19. . Didn't someone on here used to sell kits to replace all your lights with LEDs? What's a decent make that's likely to last? There's so much on eBay it's difficult to know what's good and what isn't.
  20. I understand the 1.2tsi engine is identical whether it's the 86bhp or 105 setup. How easy is it to get an 86nhp engine to 105bhp?
  21. Thanks everyone. It was a dead end trying to get garage no.1 to correct their error. I emailed Black Circles just to feed back what appalling service I'd had from one of their agents. I wasn't expecting anything, but they asked a couple of questions, apologised and then refunded the cost of putting the damage right.
  22. We've got a 2014 Roomster. At Christmas it went to a local garage (1) for new front tyres. It went to the particular garage because they're a Black Circles fitter. Anyway, this morning the car went in to the garage we normally use for a service (2). They rang to say that the locking wheel socket is mashed, and the front 2 locking nuts are mashed. The socket can't be used to get the rear nuts off either. This garage said that they haven't tried to get the nuts off yet. I rang the tyre fitter place (1). Two conversations with the workshop manager, who from the start denied that it could possibly be anything to do with them, because if the socket was damaged they wouldn't have been able to get the wheels up to torque. Claimed that garage 2 had caused the damage. Call to garage 2 who claimed again that they hadn't used the socket yet. Also said that it's possible that the socket was damaged getting the wheels off, but because of where the damage could be it could still be possible to torque them back on. Call from owner of garage 1. 30 minutes of him talking over me, going on about how much business they do in the town, and repeating that it categorically couldn't have been them because they use a torque wrench to get the nuts back on and this wouldn't have been possible had the socket been damaged. Also threatened to sue me if I posted anything on social media. He also said if I was a customer he'd have sorted me out but I'm not because I went elsewhere. So my question is, is it possible for a locking socket to be damaged in a way that you could get the wheel back on but not off again? I can follow the logic and have seen it with normal bolts and nuts, but don't know the Skoda security socket. That's £100 added to the service to get the nuts welded off and a new security set. I won't be going back to garage 1, regardless of who caused this damage, because of his stinking, thuggish and unprofessional phone call and attitude.
