Navigation Activation
When I recently purchased a 2021 Octavia SE First Edition I mistakenly thought it had standard Satnav, but realised it was a cost option which could be purchased / enabled via the Skoda Shop. Suspect it might be similar for your vehicle?

Cars with nice backdrops...
Spotted a lovely looking 18 year old S-type earlier - this one runs on the wrong fuel, but it'll still be about 100 times nicer to drive and ride in than most modern cars. Still miss my old S-type!

Glorious this afternoon and still pretty warm (16 degrees)😎 Not too muddy either 🚲🙂 I spotted what appeared to be a chap getting knocked off his bike in the rear view mirror earlier - I doubled back to make sure he was okay and it turned out he was just unable to get his feet out of the clipped-in pedals quick enough - happily no harm done 👍

Best engine for the Yeti
I've owned several Yeti's and also had a 1.8 TSi Octavia. The 110 TDi (2WD) was far and away the most economical, but in my view the best was a Shark Mapped 140 TDi (4WD) which was responsive, reliable and still economical. Not a fan of 1.2 TSi or 1.6 TDi in a Yeti, although the smaller TSi worked well in a couple of Rapids. The 170 TDi was strangely unimpressicve, although I'm told pairs well with DSG. Given an aversion to automated manuals all my VAG cars have been manual (thus far). MPG from my 2.0 TDi 110: https://www.fuelly.com/car/skoda/yeti/2012/pinkpanther/139070

How to update Navigation?
My understanding was it updates in the background whilst the car is in use and there is no visible sign of update progress? Last time I updated the navigation on my March 2023 car it took at least a day and the only indication it was successfully updated was when the Navigation database changed to a new version.

Vehicle Status - Never Noticed Before……
It has always been the case in my March 2023 car👍 Must admit I was a little irritated the car depiction is not the correct colour to reflect my vehicle!

Goodbye to Yeti
Spotted this earlier - I can certainly see the attraction from a styling perspective👍 Great to see cars on the road which differ from the endless bland and boring options. Saying that I've no clue regarding Mini, as despite owning well over a 100 different cars that is one box I'm yet to tick😃

Goodbye to Yeti
The Yeti is certainly a difficult, if not impossible, act to follow! 4 Yeti's in total for me and nothing has subsequently quite covered all the bases, despite clear technological and mechanical advances. I hope the Mini is a worthy replacement 👍

Reversing camera image - can you see the car's own number plate?
Hopefully the jerkiness doesn't herald an upcoming failure🤞

Juddering DQ200 DSG / 1.5TSi
I had thought I'd made an error going for a manual Karoq (odd gearing, less than tractable engine, ease of stalling), but reading this, and other various other threads regarding DSG reliability, I do wonder. I went for the 5 year warranty when ordering the car, but suspect I would be told 'they all do that' when raising issues with intermittent judder when setting off. Much like ongoing issues with front suspension noise (which reccured following all attempts at rectification) I suspect even a fleeting judder would drive me mad! The last car I had with judder of any kind when setting off was a 1.6 Vauxhall Zafira 20 years ago. At the time I was told it related to dampness and 'they all do it'. Beyond a Cascada (Opel) that was the last Vauxhall product I ever owned. Neither the 6 speed ZF in my current 21 year old car, or the 7 speed version in a recently sold 18 year old car were any other than silky smooth and predictable at all times - progress?

Tyre pressure warning light
Whilst I hope you are now sorted thought I'd mention my experience with recurring tyre pressure alerts in a 2019 Mii. I had recurrent tyre pressure alerts which I eventually realised were as a consequence of a drink, or more likely several being spilled, leading to the reset button becoming gummed up. After much tyre pressure checking I cleaned up the button with switch cleaner and no further issues 🤞

I believe so - currently undergoing renovation 👍

Couple I took with my camera today. The lighthouse (off Seaton Sluice) is undergoing renovation. I wonder what the yellow ship lifts? The RAF A400 was circling Newcastle earlier this afternoon.

My local camera store🙂 - I still recall the original shop on the opposite side of the road👍

Visited Seaton Delaval Hall today - apparently the elliptical spiral staircase is an architectural nightmare. All the more impressive they managed to actually construct it all those years ago I guess. Apparently it's self supporting and each landing stone weighs 1.5 ton! Lovely gardens too 🌻 https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/north-east/seaton-delaval-hall

Another sadly missed Yeti, although this one fell victim to the dreaded Pan Roof leak. Sorry the back drop isn't especially notable

Cars with nice backdrops...
A former (and the best of the four I previously owned) Yeti. Purchased new and ran till just shy of 100k before talking myself into trading it in for something much more mundane 😏 Never missed a beat, remapped by well known local VAG specialist after the EA189 'fix' had ruined it - sadly missed

Glorious sky for a fleeting moment this evening. Was bucketing it down as I snapped the photo with my phone................
