Decent deal?
Had an email from Bristol Street Motors regarding pre-reg Nissan Leaf N-Connecta @Β£15000 A solid colour (Red) but not much else available for the price. Admittedly an outdated vehicle (CHAdeMO), but a decent home charged commuter option ?

1.5 Tsi Power Cutting Out
Based on replies to this thread there certainy seems to be a variety of differing opinions of a 1.5 manual TSi Karoq! Its fair to say I'm not a fan.

Remote Access
From recollection my car would report this, although there is an option to refresh vehicle status π I totally agree it's not worth renewing at the price asked

1.5 Tsi Power Cutting Out
Yes - it's been an issue for our car from the time it was delivered (23 reg). I trialled E5 and found no noticeable improvement in driving dynamics. We have owned a considerable number of cars, including many VAG products and find this manual Karoq 1.5 TSi to be prone to stalling and difficult to drive in traffic / at low speed. I'm not a fan of DSG, but we hugely regret our decision to opt for a new manual Karoq. The only positive for me is it has proved relatively frugal, although this in no way makes up for it's clear deficiencies. Frustratingly a friends manual 1.4 TSi Octavia is equally economical, but is a considerably more pleasant car to drive on a daily basis. MPG over first 20k miles:

Remote Access
I had remote access for the first year and was able to locate the car (assuming it was stationary). Didn't seem worth the Β£80 annual renewal fee so I allowed it to lapse when the car was 1 year old.

Facelift 1.5TSi owners without Towbar prep. GTW question.
It was my local main dealer who raised the concern regarding an after market towbar and implications for the manufacturer warranty. I was told in the event of any issue relating to the cars electrical systems they would require the towbar removing before investigating under warranty. PF Jones were planning on fitting the manufacturer specific wiring and told me they have the capacity to code the car. In the end it seemed to be too much hassle, so I cancelled the towbar, especially as I'd specified the 5 year warranty. Be interested to hear what advice you are given as I suspect we use the same Main dealer?

Indeed - every other Karoq I've driven hasn't exhibited the noise, although I'm strangely glad to hear I'm not alone!

The noisy top mount has recurred and the car is now booked in for yet more diagnostics - hoping for a permanent fix this timeπ€

Facelift 1.5TSi owners without Towbar prep. GTW question.
My local Skoda main dealer previously advised fitting an aftermarket towbar may invalidate the manufacturers warranty. My car is a 2023 1.5 TSi manual which I ordered without towbar prep. I had intended using the towbar to facilitate carrying bikes, but gave up on the idea, despite PF Jones telling me it was feasible. More here: I'll check the plate on my car tomorrow and will report backπ

1.5 Tsi Power Cutting Out
Mine has exhibited this 'characteristic' right from day one. It's had considerable input from the supplying main dealer for other mechanical issues, although nothing forthcoming regarding it's tendency to stall. It certainly drives better on E5, although this did not improve it stalling sadly. The older 1.4 TSi is a considerably better partner for the manual gearbox in my view. I now regret not going for an Autoπ
