  5. seen one with the back missing at curborough track day a few years back. had them on my ibiza and they were ok,depends how hard you drive, but drilled will crack.iirc the porsche versions are cast not drilled.
  6. if he pulls through in good health ,how the F*** could the bbc turn it down.its going to be comedy genuis the amoutn of p*** taking he is going to receive from may and clarkson.look how much stick he got from bleaching his teeth. and the competion isn't up to much is it?
  7. what splitter is that on the lower valance?thought leon cupra R but looks to have holes in it on the first picture
  8. i have a few extra areials on my octavia vrs and a couple of strobes in the grille, but they are just to get through busy traffic
  9. loosen the resevior cap when winding back the caliper, this makes it a whole lot easier.be prepared for the locating screw to need to be drilled out unless you have an impact driver(another 20 quid).get some copper grease on the backl of the disc so its not so hard to get them off next time.a bit on the back of the pad helps stop squealing, and if you replace the locating screw,a bit in the thread will help next time.
  10. we have just took advantage of halfords reduction on a graco jobby.fits very well, and kinda matches the trim of the vrs. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_233149_langId_-1_CarSelectorCatalogId__CarSelectorGroupId__varient__categoryId_31489_crumb_33949-34002_parentcategoryrn_31489 EDIT :7 year old daughter, but shes little like her mum and dad edit again:rumour has it the police are going to be very keen at handing out tickets on this(another stealth tax)
  11. i just paid 160 quid (fitted) for some rock tora 318 u-turns,never felt the need for remote lock out, only adds more weight. 85-130 mm of travel iirc.
  12. maybe swap the loo and basin round on your intended plan.less waste pipe from loo,so less fall needed, but as said above,a new suit will look good to a buyer.
  13. pretty **** in a war zone, just that they make gazillions of em to replace the crap that are dead.
  14. loving my fsd's.with standard springs due to my driveway.very very good bit of kit:thumbup:
  15. i was more concerned when mine came off with my hands
  16. i've had k&n and green on my cars, difference seems to be only the colour of the cotton.if your worried about MAF problems wash it first and lightly oil it. personally i just oil the underside, never had any problems.
  17. it seems so,you just can't trust anyone with your car can you?(local garage serviced it for me last time, never again) i got my pella pump from e-bay,mines the pella 600 holds 6 litres of liquid ,so ample for an oil change on my vrs.and yes it fits into the dipstick tube edit, mines the 6000 not 600 http://www.pelapumps.co.uk/default.aspx?orig=ga http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll?cgiurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.co.uk%2Fws%2F&fkr=1&from=R8&satitle=pela&category0= a few on e-bay at the same sort of money
  18. well i tried it anyway :P oil does indeed persist from the filter at first, plenty of rag and newspaper sorted that bit out, managed to get it out with minimal spillage, refitted the new one(incidently genuine one is massive compared to the coopers one fitted). pella pump emptied the sump completely, filled the sump up,sucked a bit more through with the pella (just to be sure it was all golden). i now have nice shiny gold oil(for now),took me about an hour, but i cleaned the green air filter while it was draining out.1 tiny splodge of oil on the drive, and a bit on the under tray ,which i have now wiped clean. would advice anyone to wear a long sleeve top when trying it ,my arm now looks like i'm partial to self harm:O pella pump:best 36 quid i have spent, used it to drain my washer bottle too,the crap that builds up in there is unreal.
  19. i went "cheap" first off ,a couple of hundred quid, then got the urge to get off road and onto trail riing more(the roads are a nightmare for biking) i went for a GIANT xtc se great bike and can be picked up for under 500 notes now.and if you do get the taste for off road then discs are a darn sight better than V's(imho)
  20. walcott has to cut his teeth somewhere,we all remember a young micheal owen busting one passed argentina, rooney has taken the game by storm, both at a young age. perhaps its time for this young man to show his talent to the world
  21. its called precaution mate.250 quid or thousands for a new motor should it fail early. mines booked in at awesome soon for belt tensioner and metal impellard water pump.
  22. support whoever you want to . i'll be supporting england, yet i have a realistic look on it,we aren't going to win in the final,or even get there.we aren't even the best in europe,so how can we beat the best of the rest of the world? i hope i'm wrong, but i don't think i am.and yes the media get on my tets
