  1. I'd say around 340ftlbs is realistic and around 235-240bhp depending on dyno. That's at 2.2-2.3bar. Don't fall into the dyno lottery. How it drives is what you want.
  2. Hi John, Are you able to do any logs with vcds? I'm interested to see boost logs with and without the drum box fitted. Also be good for a 02 lambda log to check fuelling.
  3. Agree plenty of poor gt17 hybrids out there. A stock gtb1756vb is a cracking turbo as is a stock gtb2260vk.
  4. Snap. September 2004 went to BMW and drove a Mini Cooper. Popped into skoda and test drove the fabia (went in to look at the octy) Went home and placed an order through my bank.
  5. Congrats Probably been about 8 years since I did My IAM test and to this day I still use the system as a base guide. Like everything in life many ways of doing the same thing.
  6. They still have autotests which includes using reserve gear. But yeah this was just 1st gear bouncing off the limit and the handbrake
  7. Been meaning to do this for years but as always life gets in the way. Anyway early last week I popped onto ANWCC site and noticed Bolton Le Moors had a autosolo on at the DW stadium in Wigan. So quick email and I was booked on. No neeed for a national b none competitive license as you can compete in the clubman class. Also no modifications required for the car. Just needs to be road legal and insured. Turned up on Sunday to a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. After getting the car checked it was time to walk the course. Was paranoid as hell about not remembering which way to go. Lol. It was well organised in the sense you were split up into 3 groups arching taking turns to compete, marshall and relax. First outing I did a 1.30 time. Second was down to 1.20, then 1.19, 1.18, 1.17 then into the 1.16s. Had a total of 13 runs with the option of discarding your slowest time which was the one i aborted after entering the 360 cone on the wrong side :( Ended up finishing 5th in the clubman class out of about 11 drivers. Took some in car footage for the first session but then left the camera on so flat battery...doh. https://youtu.be/-GB8GLDTjag Good fun for £25 plus club membership.
  8. Collected today We asked about removing the chav 230 sticker to be told they no longer come with them as most wanted them removed lol
  9. To me the adjustment looks to work from the 3 top mount bolts. Think this will mean you won't see any markers when moving it. Could be totally wrong though
  10. I aim to please I would have bought a set but I've already got a set of new top mounts and bearings to fit :(
  11. Yeah all output tests work. Looks like it's not getting a speed signal.
  12. Hope it wasn't that batch. Didn't the speedo work on that batch but was just out? Thinking now this close had 20k+ on the clock so was used.
  13. Think their is only 2 coding options. The cluster was already the same as my original so assuming is correct. Can always try to other option tomorrow.
  14. Worth looking into. Anyone know if this is the case between ASZ and BLT?
  15. Update. Finally found some time to have another play. Opened it up and read the eeprom 93c86 chip to find the SKC. Also managed to transfer my odometer value across. With the SKC I then followed Ross-techs guide for cluster swap and also key coding to the new dash. One problem remains. Speedo isn't working. Check in vcds and the cluster isn't picking up speed. :(
  16. Why not just buy the adjustable top mounts of Ebay? Would rather do that then bodge the wishbones although I've not seen the picture.
  17. So made a boo boo. Fitted the pop out cup holder to find out it wasn't staying closed so opened it up. Mistake as the spring came out before I could see where it goes. Any ideas?
