  1. Could this be the beginning of the end for motorists
  2. The fear of having the dreaded FIX/FAIL done at a service without my permission was the reason I sold the car and would only allow the service to be carried out if they signed an agreement not too apply the fix to a car which was designed too cheat the system but was running ok and as they didn’t offer a buy back option my option was to sell a low mileage car that I was going to keep, luckily I changed brand otherwise could have part ex for a KAROQ 1.5 petrol and I would have been really pi@#@d off if I had one with the kangaroo engine that VW ALSO DENIED had any issues as usual and more lies so time to move on and if the courts decide they cheated yes they should compensate owners (no ambulances chased making this statement )
  3. Quite agree ,it not about the money it’s about making the VW cheats pay If they are found guilty in court.
  4. Genuine enough, the more ££££ you get the more they get for the car company’s cheating if they win the case in court.
  5. The thing about a Kia Soul was its very close to the height ,driving height / position and interior space of the yeti,I’m 6.2 tall ,the soul has panoramic sun roof and has plenty of head room, quite a bit more than the shortage we also looked at and as for the kamiq we tried too dark interior and far to low driving position not to mention the quality of the finish.
  6. Was lucky enough to change from the yeti to a Kia Soul sport nearly 3 years ago,no 4wd but don’t miss it (didn’t realise it had stopped working on the yeti for a number of months) and the soul sport is better in every way and a pleasure to drive, still really enjoying it and if I had to change the Xc 40 looks about right but far too expensive so more than happy with the sport and never missed the yeti but enjoyed for the 4 years We owned it.onward and upwards as they say and dodged the bullet with the karot jumping 1.5 engine so win win.
  7. Looks like this glorious route will only be allowed in electric vehicles or is somebody having a laugh
  8. Discs=cast iron=Moisture=rust
  9. £3000 to replace a seal ?????? If that is correct I’d go for a scrapper transfer box.
  10. Nearly everything is on youtube
  11. I had rattle on a l and k coming from what I thought was the rear area, cleared the boot completely only to find the sun roof was the problem (pressed against it when driving)had it repaired by skoda as it was a known issue with a service instruction issued .
  12. Try looking at the boss fox yeti,2.5 tsi project, plenty of video and project build.
  13. Skoda owners have had leaks with pan roofs across the range for years not just the yeti, leaks, blocked drain pipes, etc and in all those years Skoda have not resolved the design/production issues ( its common knowledge on these forums that drain pipes are crushed on production) and owners get fobbed off and charge a massive amount to rectify, but if after all this time they still can’t get it right, and guess who still pays.would I buy another car with a pan roof YES,WOULD IT BE A SKODA NO NEVER.
  14. Thought ALL Vauxhall dealerships were going now PSA had taken over.
  15. I would be taking the vehicle into an authorised body repair to have it checked fully.on the two occasions we’ve had rear end damage it hasn’t looked particularly bad on first look but when fully checked by the garage we were shown the full extent of the body damage underneath the plastic,it’s done it’s job once to reduce the impact and may not stop an impact crash a second time so I wouldn’t take and chances and get the best job done, that’s why we get insurance.
  16. I had no 4 x 4 for a number of months before realising and had it repaired under warranty just before it expired, unfortunately I did ask the specifics (as I wasn’t paying) but have always wondered if it was electrical or mechanical failure or blocked filter even.
  17. to be fair it was VAG who started all this with their illegal emission claims which in turn lead to the FIX and damaged EGR and DPF which has lead to owners left to foot their bills or having to go cap in hand to dealers hoping to get a repair under warranty which is not always easy for VAG OWNERS unfortunately.
  18. I had a NIP sent to my place of work ( depot) because the vehicle was registered to the company in another city and as I only went there occasionally someone let me know there was a letter for me (six weeks later) so I was unable to reply to the fine with in 28 days or go on a driver awareness course so just ignored it...................that was over 20 years ago but in the poster situation go for the drivers awareness course IF available in that area.
  19. I believe SKODA have had leak issues with sunroofs across the range for the last decade, not that they-will admit it as usual.
  20. Appears leaks and Skoda run hand in hand, there also appears to be leaks issues with the Skoda Karoq ,how a manufacturer can produce models over so many years and still not have solved the issue is very disappointing (had my yeti 5 yrs and no sunroof or boot leaks, lucky me) usually the trapped/ blocked drain pipes from the sun roofs are an issue and it is hard to believe in all this production time it has never been resolved.
