i am looking for the rear tailgate strut dampeners if they are in good condition posted to glasgow

Hi there how do you take off the wing mirror covers? i know there are two torq bit screws at the bottom of the cover but two of the screws heads have been chewed up.

I know the measure of it is when the cap is screwed down then you take a measure but its not showing anything on the dipstick i am sure its when its hot it expands but what a carry on to check it needing to take the battery tray out typical dealers trying to stop you servicing your own car

Just had timing belt kit,water pump,aux belt done parts and labour £225 at a trusted garage got it done on monday but yesterday had to top up coolant,the coolant warning light came on must have been a wee bit of air in the system the boss himself did the job,the skoda dealer that did the belt kit before wanted £300 but it was not local to me.is there a problem with the expansion tanks on the fabia vrs td?

Can anyone tell me what the level should be from cold checked this morning and the dip stick was not showing a fluid mark

does anyone know what timing belt kit i will need for my vrs 1.9 tdi theres someone got a new kit but he says he bought the kit for his 2003 vrs but this kit has a hydraulic tensioner mines is a 2004 54 plate

gates belt kits are what all manufactures use anyway so its genuine i thought as much about the 4 years 60000 miles the garage said it would cost £292 but then i asked him the labour charge without him supplying the parts just the labour and he said £114 and my accessorie shop is is supplying gates timing belt kit and the water pump for £122 so job done

I have just bought a fabia vrs tdi 54 plate with fsh genuine 82000 mles on the clock the timing belt was done early at 40000 miles at a skoda dealer now they have said the interval is 4 years or 70000 miles is this right.How much have yous paid to get this done?the cheapest i can get it done is £122 for gates belt kit and water pump and £114 for labour at a respected garage which is £236
