What is a remapped VRS as quick as
Mk4 cupra replied to FabiaVRSAJ's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
I'd like to see a mapped vrs vs a standerd Ibiza Cupra tdi pd160 always wonderd what would be qwicker from standing start and rolling start -
I have always wonderd that to behonest removal I the back box would loose most waight through hhahahhhahahha
-
Darkside developments is the best mapper around this area in my opinion
-
I think with them 30mm spacers your asking to get pulled they stick to far out the Arches in my opinion. Plus 30mm is asking wheel bearings to be failing quite regularly due to centre of gravity stress is high at 30mm.

Yer you'll have to let us know
-
Not all buses and trucks vent to atmosphere and from September onwards the new onces won't
-
I will have a think about this one but I can Not see the vac box being the fault not with it cutting out the boost any way would be good to get it on vagcom to see what it's atually doing
-
At what revs does the boost drop off and what revs does it come back
-
Now the rear end looks mint and would look grate with a smooth boot but the front is abit ott. I'd defo consider the rear if I had a Fabia
-
Because that causing mess plus the pd engine breathes quite hevey so if the filter gets blocked and it carnt breath fully ur asking for problums

Pd160 turbo anyone fitted or know?
Mk4 cupra replied to Big deano's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Well that's funny then becasue my pd 160 Ibiza has ran 195bhp on amds rollers 206bhp on rollers at Ricky concept and 198bhp rebel power pipes -
No because its going through the catch tank highlight the name the catch tank collects it

The vacume box is designed to retrieve the air once the power is turne off so in other words once the engine stops and it sounds like its still doing somthing for about 4to6 seconds that's the vac box retrieving all the air so in other words its not faulty and its post to do it. The buzzing sound it constantly makes is it sucking air in from the filter to send air to which ever channel the ecu tells it too so once again it's post to make a sound. I wouldn't worry about replacing it till a fault code pops up or u start having vac related problums there an expensive item which don't often play up

I have a grate way to clean an old badly serviced engine used tested and safe todo steps below. Parts required New oil filter New engine oil right grade for engine. 5 ltr of hydraulic oil. Sump plug washer Steps to carry out. Get the engine to temp and remove lower shield etc so ready to drop old oil ASAP. Drop old engine oil (hotter the old oil the better removes more out of the engine) Leve draining for a good ten mins to get the max out you can. Fill up engine with hydraulic oil run for about 5 mins. Drop hydraulic oil( very very thin oil will drain out fast and should of cleaned every part up while also lubricating areas tht might have not been getting full lubrication with old oil due to how thin hydraulic oil is) Leve oil about ten mins draining again. Leve sump plug off put about Half a litre of new engine oil through engine to drain( this gets maximum of the hydraulic oil and old oil out) Refit sump plug replace old oil filter put new oil in Run up cheak level cheak for leaks all sorted brand new engine This is what we do to cars with cars that have not had a good oil change in a while hydraulic oil is perfect becasue it Lubs very very well and due to it being so thin it gets behind all the old oil resadue and lifts it off to clean it. It's alot safer than engine flush plus I'd say does alot better job hope this helps

Ill keep an eye and ear out down at the hull end. sorry to hear about this I read it earlyer on seatcupra.net and it made me feel sick the lengths some people are going these days to steal things. I know the leon Cupra r front spliters are a common stole item. I hope the police manage to find the person who did this and I hope karma gets involved. Good luck with what ever happens

Turbo noise.. wait, not a hiss.. (with Vid)
Mk4 cupra replied to Rob.'s topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
My Cupar tdi Ibiza makes that same sound just not quite as load and its fine. It's been making that same sound for 10,000 miles and its still pulling strong -
May I ask why people vent this to air. I have looked into fitting a catch can to my Ibiza Cupra tdi for a while and have spoke to verious people From what I have seen everyone running catch can on there Cupra tdis tend to be the high powers people 220bhp upwards. But they all run there's back to the intake. So in other words run from the crankcase to the catch can then back to there intake. From what I know about engines that would also be the safest bet but why don't any one on there fabias run there's back to the intake and vent it to atmospher

Pd160 turbo anyone fitted or know?
Mk4 cupra replied to Big deano's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
I don't know if there the same turbo but the limits of my Cupra pd160 are more than what some are saying the pd160 Ibiza turbo is good to about 215 bhp and maxed out at 220 bhp Meny people are running this power level on there Cupra ibiza pd160s -
Is it safe to run car without crash bar!?
Mk4 cupra replied to jamVRS's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
If you run with out your front crash bar the front end of the car will feel springy due to that crash bar holds the front together a few people tested it on there track mk4s to try and loose excess waight to later find out the handling goes out the window So in other words yes you do need it lol -
Polo rear wiper conversion
Mk4 cupra replied to lukeanderson31's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
So is that link at the top the thrid pic on the yellow skoda -
My self I would send the pipe back to the intake not to a filter it will run better than breathing to air after the catch tank. I have tested verious ways and found it alot better running it from the beather to the catch tank then from the catch tank back to the intake pipe. I know alot of people don't do it like this but it's alot better and it's still doing what it should be and running smoother than breathing to air Also the people on seat Cupra.net running there high powers pd160s and pd130s agree with what I have said just throught I'd say hope this helps
