Brake Pad Average Mileage on vRS?

Featured Replies

A quick search didn't provide easy to spot answer to this question, so could I ask how many miles all you punters with TFSI vRSes got out of the first set of OEM brake pads? Please also state your driving style (OAP/Average/BRISKodian ;-)

Mine have done 23k and look and feel ok still... perhaps noticing that they don't feel quite as reassuring as usual on occasion. Just pondering on getting some ordered for fitting at my 2nd service (variable) which should be in around 3k miles.

Thanks guys.

You are doing well.

I used 7 sets of rears, 6 sets of fronts. It was stage 2 revo however, and it was used hard.

Non vRS driven normall, at 51K miles I have plenty of pad left.

TDI 1.4 104Kmiles and pad left. Obviously not trying! ;-)

I have a genuine set of pads front and rear if your interested.

I changed my front pads at 18,000 miles (to fit Ferodo DS2500s) and the OE ones looked like they were less than half worn.

21k and mine are ready for replacing

Been on a couple of track days, then? :D;)

nope not yet, just most of my miles are done late at night or very early morning when the roads are quiet and you can actually reach the speed limit on A and B roads
