Octy vRS,plans for last cars before new one arrives....

Featured Replies

have some news which i think some of us might find interesting,

was in my local last night and one of the regulars runs a Skoda dealership near me,will mention no names, yet.

he was asking me what i thought Skoda should do with the current Octy vRS as they are selling it side by side with the new model until the new vRS comes out.

i obviously said more power,6 speed gearbox,different wheels,full leather interior,Xenons etc,4 wheel drive.

to which his responce was thats everything he has told Skoda they should do when THEY asked him!!!!

he asked who it would appeal to and i said well i'd probably chuck mine in and get one ask it would be the Ultimate Octavia vRS and i said i'm sure a few people from Briskoda.net would be very very tempted!!!

so lets keep our fingers crossed eh!!!!

I'll organise the group buy on this one

To be christened the L&K 4X4 RS?

To be christened the L&K 4X4 RS?

Or the Skoda Unmodified RS, like mine. :D

Not too bothered about xenons, and I could live without full leather (half leather, half alcantara would do), but I'd prefer an interior that's easier to keep clean. 4WD is a must, and I reckon 225 BHP as a minimum. The wheels on the current vRS are fine, although a less fussy design would be nice - again, something that's easy to clean!

4wd as its a "one-off"

225 Bhp Engine from the Leon Cupra R / Audi S3. (Lots of potential ;) )

All black leather seats, dark grey carpet.

RS6 Alloys as an option..

MP3 player instead of Auto-changer.

4wd, special colour scheme (anthracite ?), same seats but darker inserts, 225bhp Leon engine, WRC spolier and 18" wheels with 335mm brakes :D

But it isn't going to happen is it :(

Steve

But it isn't going to happen is it :(

Nope.

More likely it will be the current car with a few cosmetic changes

If it happens at all.

What about getting the 2.4T lump in there...

Would need to be more power than 225 to allow for extra weight and drag from 4x4

I would say a nice 265bhp,4x4, 6 speed, xenons, cruise and the DVD sat-nav from Audi(has 2 SD card slots for MP3's)

Don't tempt me...........I'd sell a kidney to get one of those

Reckon they may just go with a power upgrade... maybe put a t4 turbo in.

Maybe they should have a sports pack upgrade... 18's, power upgrade, WRC spoile... etc, and allow existing owners to purchase the same.

2.5tdi :D

What about a 200 bhp 2.0 PD engine, with 4x4? Would be unusual and follow the pattern set by the Fabia vRS. And wot about putin the new 2.0 PD in the Fabia? Possibilities, possibilities!!!! By the way we've got to wait until 2006 for that!!!!

Matt

the upgrade package is an idea, have a suspension / wheel upgrade then bang on a 4 pot conversion and up the power (with a new turbo) to 250bhp... ok 260bhp for good measure. oh and throw the WRC spoiler in as well.

Not really bothered about 6 speed boxes unless they left the current ratios alone and added it to the end for extra top end and motorway cruising.

It depends on whether you are talking about them selling off cars that have been made but not sold in which cae you would get the same engine with a few bolt on goodies , or about new production of cars.

Realistically you won't get a completely different engine but a higher spec version of the 1.8T would be possible , along with a different colour body & interior and a few more toys.

What about a 200 bhp 2.0 PD engine, with 4x4?

Then sit back and watch the haldex get destroyed with all the torque on offer.

Sounds promising...

Might trade the scooby in for one of these!?
