powerflex bushes

Featured Replies

is ther any reason not to use powerflex front and rear wishbone bushes ?

are they any harder to fit and are the rear ones the same as the cupra console

I have the powerflex front and wishbone bushes on my octavia and have no issues with them. Don't know if they are different from the fabia bushes. I also didn't fit them, I got a garage to fit them

Use the Powerflex front wishbone bushes, but use the rear cupra bushes. The rear powerflex ones are expensive and fall out

oh pants :(

due to the board outage ive already ordered them

any tips on keeping the rear bush in place

The rear ones are bushes they are just supports for the standard bush.

The wishbone ones also can fall out

Thats an Octavia and different to the Fabia.

I was more trying to suggest that peoples ideas of fitting powerflex bushes and never having to touch them again is not always accurate.

Indeed, but IIRC the Octy ones are now modified? Either way if they were available for the Fabia they wouldnt fall out like that as they work the other way.

If I got this right ??? on the octy the arm isn' t sided L/R, so one goes in one goes in that way and the other one goes in upside down if you get what I mean. With the big lip going in the radiused edge.

Does that make sense ????

Edit... correct me if I am wrong :)

You are correct. When I had mine ftted I drove back as they were different each side. After it was explained I drove away a little red faced!

Powerflex rear 'wishbone bushes' (part number PFF85-602) are not a replacement but a purple disc with four protrusions that push into the back of the existing bush. I fitted mine today turned the car round and they had come out! Totally rubbish product and costs £53.00 - I am awaiting their response to my email asking how to fit these units ( Their website shows a photograph with the 'bush' already sticking out! - Powerflex

Going to fit the Cupra bushes.
