Thanks, really want to get this sorted as my I can feel vibration in the gearstick / clutch when changing gears and i'm getting CRAZY wheel hop in first at he moment.

Hopefully with these on it will cure both.

That looks like a very good guide to follow, I should be able to do that easily. Good to know the what to torque them too as well.

Might order up then, don't suppose you know a good guide for the ARB bushes? :D

Fatty is the dogbone bush the same as the wishbone bush? I'm getting confused here :)

They are very straightforward, as long as you can jack both sides, then undo the droplinks, undo the bush clamps, whip out the old ones in with new and tighten it all back up.

You'll see what I mean I did them in about an hour but neglected to undo the droplinks so was fannying around with clamps for a bit until I realised that the links needed to be free:rolleyes:

Dogbone aka lower engine mount, Wishbone aka Lower control arm

Does this make sense ???

I think so yes :)

Ah, so the wishbone bushes are something different altogether- this is what they said needed replacing at the service!

(Will double check).

So you can now see between the 2 guides what needs to be done.

What happened to your diesel filter, pollen filter, air filter?

Wishbones complete I can get under £25 new. I fit poly bush sets they are excellent, load of rubbish re vibration, obviously they haven't done one.

Greg.

Hi guys,

Just had my 73k service, I provided my oil and it came to £126! £24 for parts (oil filter, sump plug, brake cleaner, engine flush, screen wash, grease and waste) and £81 for labour... I'm tempted to start taking it to an independent or start doing most of myself.

Both of the front wishbones bushes are worn and there is some play in the roll bar bushes apparently.

They recommend not going for the uprated poly bushes as they will vibrate the **** out of me.

Got the Silkolene Pro S 5w-40 in there and the engine def sounds quiter and a little healthier I think

Not sure of the point of this thread either.... :P

Eeeerrrrmmmm..........say that again:confused::confused:

I'm saying you don't appear to have had a full service. I also commented on price of wishbones, cheaper than bushes + ball joint and no labour to fit the bits it's ready to bolt on. I also said poly bushes are excellent and no vibration.
