Intergrated Bluetooth problem

Featured Replies

Ive had a quick search on here for the problem i am having but couldnt see anything so im starting a new thread.

Basically my intergrated bluetooth kit from vrstu works fine unless i have my ipod pluggged in and the stereo is set to Aux.

If the ipod is connected then no sound comes from the speakers when the phone rings or if i try to dial someone. Apparantly the people on the other end can hear me but i cannot hear them. If my stereo is set to radio or switched off then the bluettoth works 100% ok.

Is this a known issue or just me or even a problem with my phone, could someone else try it in their car and let me know the results?

thanks

have you had the vagcom settings done?

I honestly dont know, i had the kit fitted by the dealers so i am hoping they did the VAG COM stuff aswell. But who knows.

I take it that it should work when the stereo is in Aux mode?

I have to admit it's something I've not heard of. Wonder if somone else with a similar setup wouldn't mind trying it for you.

Sounds as though the Aux is getting priority over the Phone mute but I can't understand why it would.

I am not getting this problem with bluetooth and ipod together although that is in a Golf but the bluetooth is the same bit of kit, thanks Stu.

If you want me to try some tests I could do that, its all connected to a mfd2.

Sounds like a power issue to me. One of the consumers being grounded to what looks like GND but actually isn't, perhaps going hot when the phone rings.

Try powering the BT directly from the fuse box using long wires (and a fuse carrier), and see if it does anything to help. Ground on exposed metal directly, don't splice into wires.

No problem with mine. Doesn't matter what source the phone cuts everything, including reverse display.

My only little gripe is the time delay between pressing the button on the phone to answer and being able to hear the call come through the speakers...there's a "hello...hello?" conversation first! However mine doesn't have maxidot so can't use the stalks as they are meant to.

Certainly makes me wonder how they've connected it.
