Look guys at the end of the day as said before its were i choose to spend my hard earned cash although i do appreciate all comments and sometimes digs although most aint really call'd for. i would rather pay that little extra to have it professionally done than having go to some crap place and having to go back due to faulty workmanship. and AmD look a great set up.

I can bite my lip no longer. You've said it all Graham. Not that any of the other tuners are crap but you, like me, liked what you heard from AmD and that's what counts over and above everything else.

Andrew

You make your choice and pay your money.

Like you said as your happy with the work and what you paid then that's all that matters.

However, as the Group Buy Over Lord I wouldn't be doing my "job" if I didn't point out that there are options to be had for the members.

Whateve you choose Griz, enjoy the results.

Graham, don't be put off by all the conflicting advice. If you are happy with AmD and the package on offer, stick with your convictions and go for it.

And then write up a comprehensive report about it in the reviews section

If you have the money, then why not spend it at AmD? I spent a more than significant sum with them last summer although it would appear I could have had it done cheaper elsewhere from reading various posts around here.

Despite the cost, after one year on, I am more than happy with their work, and as for the remap, it gives a pretty smooth power delivery. I see some of the dyno plots posted by people with power curves showng a bit of the old wibbley-wobbley (technical word I just made up for zig-zaggy dyno plot).

Presumably this translates into power drops/surges when accelerating through the rev range. You'll see on the attached plots that my remap suffers a bit of a blip at around 3 thou, which is noticable on the road if revs are rising slowly, other than this, its bleedin' marvellous.

One day I'll write a review! So, if you want to pay a bit more, AmD gives you a good end product. Is it worth the extra? Don't know because haven't compared it against other drives. Besides, lets all be a bit different around here with our motors.....
