Remapped VRs owners - who's your insurance with?

Featured Replies

My current insurer (More Than) will not insure a car with any form of modifications so I decided to switch as I am looking at a remap in the next couple of months.

I spoke to Adrian Flux who wanted £500+ for the standard car (mine is currently £360 with More Than) and ~£1500 for it remapped.

I thought they were supposed to be reasonable for performance and modified cars?

FYI - Male, 32, No points or claims in last 5 years. The wife (female!), 31, 3 points. Needs to include commuting to and from various places of work for both of us.

It may be that latter requirement that courses the problem as apparently a number of their companies who provide their insurance won't quote for it.

Try Chris Knott, I'm with them briskoda discount and no worries with remapping. I have a TDI 140 remap and have paid £330 with protected no claims, I have £500 excess though!

Try Brentacre (tel:01792650933) really mod freindly:thumbup:

It's worth having a comparative figure in mind before you speak to CK as they base their prices on prices they think you've already been quoted.

Mine's with Chris Knott. They were pretty reasonable for a chipped Octy Vrs.

Give elephant or admiral a go.

Ive got my Mk1 with Elephant with all mods declared for £625 with me and mrs on it an were only 24

Hi - I've got a re-mapped Seat Leon at the moment and the best quote I got by miles was with A-Plan (01635 874646).

Cheers,

Balham

Try SKY Insurance they have been really good to me.
