Hi All,

I've been looking at the Roomster for about a year (love it!). Hoping to buy in the next few months. Read some poor reviews about engines (emissions etc.) some say 1.9 diesel is best. Personally I'm looking at 1.6 petrol, is it any good?

I would definately opt for the 1.9tdi - driven normally round town I can hit 57mpg although I think skoda site I was on somewhere suggested more like 44mpg (obviously it depends on what sort of town you are driving round and how tame you drive) I don't normally get anywhere near 57mpg ;-) but was doing a test against standard to see what mpg gains I could get

I have the Roomster 3 1.6

it goes like stink

As the 3 as cruise control i set it at the road speeds and i have a petrol consumpsion of 52mpg average

if you drive it like it wants to be driven you can expect around 34 mpg
