Hello all,

Just thought I'd say hello now that I've bought myself a silver Fabia VRS.

Apparently it used to belong to a forum member, reg ends "LZV", anyone?

Anyway I was tempted because my mate has had one for a few years and I think it's a great little car. I've changed from a 3.9 V8 range rover so I've gone from one end of the economy scale to the other!

The salesman told me that the Fab may have an AMD remap but wasn't using it as a selling point because there was no way of proving it. Maybe the previous owner, if they are on here could shed some light, unless there is a way of telling (aside from rolling road)? I'll fire an email to AMD to see if they can help.

I look forward to sharing all things "skodarish" with you all in the future!

Welcome. :)

Hiya.

There is a way of testing for a remap, using VAGCom to measure torque, and seeing of that's higher than standard.

Is that laptop software Ken?

Thanks all.

Is that laptop software Ken?

Yes. You'd be looking for reports that the measured torque is significantly above standard (particularly the maximum value).

You haven't bought "LZV" isn't that mallys old knacker.

Only joking, Welcome to the forum mate.

Hello and Welcome to Briskoda :D
