Who's the oldest vRS driver then?

Featured Replies

What about 64 with a wee Furby vRS?

I read that as Oddest.....

i drive about as fast as a 101 year old, love to play the MPG game

well I am nowhere as old as you lot then :) at 49 I feel like a spring chicken.

my first ever skoda, and if you had told me ten years ago I would own (and actually like a skoda) I would have laughed you out of the room

but I have to say, the little VRS I bought for my wife (when I replaced her bmw:eek:) is great fun to drive and of course with fuel prices hitting record levels, nice and economical

my dad was 66 or 67 when he sold his earlier this year

My dad is 66 and has a VRS SE.

I have his old silver standard VRS.

He drives it like a pensioner too...

Oddest. Really? What's that supposed to mean?

Well at 58 I bought a 1.8tdi furby then at 59 got the VRS

My Aunt 80 was looking for a new car to replace the ten year old Escort, and I said you should really try a Skoda they are really good cars now and an excellent price

(thinking she would go and get a new furby 1.4 or something)

She arrives home with a brand new black VRS

It is off course totally wasted, as she drives at a max 28mph on open roads and about 45mph on Motorways

I do not think it has been out of second gear yet :-) though manages to do about fifty miles a week in it

I am waiting to inherit it :-)

Burntisland and bought from Chatham in Dunfs

National

I think Des's dad, Berretta, is about 87 so it could be him :D

I knew it was only a matter of time before I was mentioned....LOL

Ageism is now an offence, so be very careful.

Looking at the ages of some of these, I feel quite young, and as for being Des's dad........................No comment as the swear filter would blank every word...............LOL

I do drive sensibly to work and back but every now and again you just have to pull the pin and drive like a nutter for a few miles ,, release the child within !!!!
