Just had my 110 tdi re-mapped !

Featured Replies

I find mine to be very consistent. i.e. I get similar results for similar trips driven in a similar way.

If I drive my 100 mile bi-weekly trip in an eco-friendly way I get 68-72, if I drive like an idiot I get about 42-45. Whilst these figures might be wrong, I'd not say that they were erratic

Nope , mine was always very consistent.

There was a margin of error but that was always a 5% overread.

Given that a remap affects the fuelling to the car , and the trip computer uses this data to calculate economy I'm sure that one *can* be affected by the other.

The fuel computer has deffinatly been affected by the remap. Not that it really bothers me because its still returning the 550 miles to a tank. (going by the fuel warning light and the mileometer readings!)

According to the computer, its saying that on a full tank, i'll be achieveing 700 miles on a tank, which simply aint the case.

Anyways, i love the way it drives, which is the main reason for the remap!!

My computer's accuracy varies between modes, but the "available range" one seems accurate ATM. Even if it did read like the "tank/trip average" one, it would still only be 10% optomistic!!
