Tell me what you think

Featured Replies

What do you think of the vRS spoiler I paid £30 for and then £60 for it painting and fitting?

22435.attach

22436.attach

Something looks really really wrong with that, but I can't for the life of me say what.

Maybe it's the just off silver maybe it's something else.

Is that an OEM spoiler?

From a 2006 Octavia vRS, and the colour is Sahara Beige

Think it must just be the beige then.

Still if you're happy with it and all :)

looks awesome mate

Looks good mate, nice touch

It looks ok, however I think the more subtle lip spoiler would have suited it better

The vRS one is a more aggressive style spoiler for sporty looking cars, and does'nt particularly suit beige, but thats just my opinion

As long as your happy with it thats all that matters

Looks good nice touch all cars should have a spoiler.

looks like a 'wannabe' to me. A bit like when they used to stick 'Cosworth' badges on Sierra 1.6L's. :-)

Thanx james for your comment about being a wannabe. I would expect a comment like that if I ownded a 1.9 tdi in elegance trim spec. But not a 2.0 pd tdi 140 dsg and L&K trim level. For me its just a question of personal styling.

So what's wrong with 1.9tdi's or elegance trim levels?

Yeah, I can just imagine a Matiz with a spoiler :P

Spoilers look ok on sportier looking cars, on family cars when not intended, sorry, they just don't look right.

I'm all for it :D as IMHO it 'lightens' the visual bulk of the rear of an Octy hatch (in non spoiler trim). ;)

It would be good to get some extra photos of the car either side on and/or from the rear three-quarters at a reasonable distance (to get the whole car in frame) that will then prove my point.

Finally; I must say that £60 to paint and fit is a very good price as well; well done.

I would agree with you mate, but I would have additional criteria, for me the spolier would work if it was sitting on the sports suspension and had 17" or 18" alloys on, there is a member here who has a lovely L&K running on Zeniths and has the vRS spoiler etc.

If it's sitting on an L&K on standard stilt suspension :) with 16's and nice balloon tyres, then for me ... it would not work and would remind me of some of the "modded" cavaliers and vectra's you see around.

But each to their own

What you crying for? you asked for comments?

Nothing wrong with an elegance, but the bumpers for the L&K don't suit a big spoiler.

Still think it's a bit nuts complaining about a 1.9 or elegance. Both are good specs and a 2.0 is only 140bhp not a VRS 170/200 ;)

If you don't like the comments of others, then it was rather odd to ask people opinions as spoilers are always a Marmite thing.

looks nice mate

I love my 1.9TDI Elegance. I would expect a comment like that from someone with a "P Reg", but I have to say the car does look in good nick for a 97

Rules for 'tell me what you think', either agree with me or go off on one when someone has a different opinion :thumbdwn::confused: totally confused by this?

What was the fecking point of asking in the first instance?

Not a spoiler person but looks ok if you are happy fair enough and cheap too.

:+1::iagree:

If he didn't like the answer, he shouldn't have asked the question!

.......and for the record I don't like his spoiler either. :pants:

Not sure about Biege

Not sure about Biege

He's probably expecting that comment, because you own a 'Sport'.
