Should i sell the fabia and buy an anniversary golf ?

I wanted one before i bought the fabia but couldn't find a nice low milage example but one has came up with 29k ....... :(

There just so classy and fit..... It's just iv spend so much money on the fabia in the last month thats telling me not to do it

No contest between a Golf and a Fabia IMO.

mmm i don't know one thing i noticed coming from a golf to a fabia was the handling.....

I love my vrs to bits i just still would love an anniversary and before it's to late to ever own a perfect condition low milage one.

BTW i meant i would have a Golf everyday over the Fabia.

I love my Fabia, but a Golf would be a great car.

But youve got to mod it! I dont think many people know this, but its the law.

After spending that amount of money, unless the car is easily revertable to standard, then "you're stupid" as you asked.

My car is not revertable - at all - so I'm in the same boat really (except I don't want a golf :P)

The only problem with the Anniversary is they are stupid money to buy over the cost of normal golf.

Take into account how much you will spend on mods once you get it.

Owned mk 3 and 4 Golf and would not swap either for the Fabia. In fact, it'd take a lot for me ever to buy another Golf again. Perhaps I was just unlucky.

you can easly add another 3-4k on if your looking for a nice pd 150 anni

i sold a pd150 with 49k for 7.5k a while back and this one is at 10,750

it's just really not worth it.....:( they are just such a gorgous car.....proberly keep the fabia for just now....

What do you want something common for anyway. There are loads of MK4's round me as it now seams to be the choice of the pikeeys.

Usually 1.4s with S8 alloys on! Mk5s aren't much better - I've lost count of the number of 1.6FSIs I've seen on R32 alloys!

The thing is with the Mk4 Golf is that all versions are virtually indistinguishable. Due in part, no doubt, to the fact that the Mk4 'GTI' only had that branding in the UK - all other markets admitted to themselves that it was about as far removed from the GTI ethic as could be possible (and look in the boot: it'll even have its Euro-branding of Trendline on the ID sticker). But then if you're after something that looks virtually the same as a run-out Match 1.4, don't let me stop you!

MK4 Golfs and Boras do seem to be the popular choice of chavs that put the obligatory over sized wheels on them - see them all the time on the Manor and "Cross" estates in Sheffield.

However, perhaps chavs have got wise to good reliability and Tdi mpg.

If you like the Mk4 mate, have a run in it and you'll tell if its for you straight away and if it comes down to the handling - remember this "you'll feel it in the cheeks of your ar*e, kid" (when cornering) which is the better car.

Anyway, the 'Anniversary' Golfs command such a premium that I don't think is worth it.

Well im feeling gutted today.....our business is changing insurence brokers and the new ones don't want anything to do with my car.

In there words "it's an accident waiting to hapen" iv tryed insurence threw myself but it's into stupid 4 figures.....will have to wait another few days but it looks like i could be saying goodbye to briskoda :(

If the worst comes to worst the car will end up for sale and i will buy a Golf anniversary pd150, yes i know there a higher insurence group it's just the turbo conversion on the fabia has more than quadrupled my insurence
