Anyone ordered one or about to?

Featured Replies

Sounds a nice spec'd car, how long is the wait?

Been told that it will be build week 39, which I think is the end of September. If I'm lucky, it might arrive by the end of October, but it will probably be 1st week of November.

In the meantime, I've had to return my vRS, which I'm not so happy about. They've given me an Octavia L+K DSG Estate instead, so it's not all bad.

Changed build week

Just shows that not everyone wants silver/grey or silvery grey blue!

Haha Just ordered a 2.0 Elegance DSG with park assist dimming mirror and 3 spoke steering wheel IN ANTHRACITE GREY with Ivory Leather and dark carpets. Dont have a date yet but getting excited now lol.

My final version with the extras is a 2.00 170 DSG Elegance Storm Blue Ivory leather, 3 Spoke steering wheel, auto dimming mirror, 6 cd changer, Upgraded sound system, Plastic Wood Trim, heated washers, Park Assist and Hill Assist. Delivery date 18th ish of September:)

Been told mine won't be ready til October, ordered it 2 weeks ago. When did you order yours to get it for the 18thish.

Should be ordering mine tomorrow.

Decided to go for:

2.0TDI 170 Elegance Manual

Steel Grey Metallic

Upgraded Sound System

Park assist

Hill hold

Sunset glass

Heated rear seats

Heated washer nozzles

Auto dimming mirror

Rear side sunblinds

In the end, I couldn't afford the DSG on my lease allowance. I would have ended up paying nearly £100/month out of my own pocket. As it is, I'm going to have to cough up nearly £50/month, but it will be worth it.

Nice spec... Yet wouldn't going with the 1.8TfSI save you monthly out of pockets? Then chip it &:D:thumbup::rolleyes:.

Nice car you've ordered bagpuss. I'd like to know what you think of the upgraded sound system when your car turns up. It is a shame they didn't have a nice brand attached to it like BOSE or B&O or maybe it does and they haven't made it clear.

Would it be possible for you to let us know what you managed to get the CH rate down to on the new car? Just for curiosity....

Thanks!

Checked my paperwork from the dealer. Order was dated 20th June. Since then Skoda released additional options so I added a couple of extras :o. The delivery date is still projected for the 18th September. Dont know what the build week is though.

Car insuranceTesco have Quoted me £430 and Direct Line £385, both fully comp with protected NCD and replacement car. I drive 25000 ish miles a year.

Thanks Drummond I do about 35k a year so will have to start checking around I did wonder if they had the new model on their database.

Hi James,

Didn't manage to get any movement on the CH rate at all. Decided I wanted the car, so I've paid what they were asking. I do now understand where the extra cost comes from, and it's all added by my company. I'm not too bothered as my car allowance will be increasing soon, which nearly covers the extra.

I'll certainly let you know what the sound system is like, as we will hopefully be getting a RHD demonstrator for a week very soon. I'm told that Skoda have allocated my company a car, and that it's on the boat right now :D

  • 1 month later...

Waiting to here back from my fleet manager on the following request;

1.8 TSI DSG Elegance with metallic paint (of course) flappy paddle steering wheel thing (is it really worth having DSG without paddles?), park assist (show off value) and heated washer jets (and why not?).

Our company works on a benchmark system, if you can lease the requested car for the same or less as a BMW 318d SE 4 door (list price over £25k :eek:Metallic, auto and bluetooth inc) on the day of asking then you can have it.

3 year 25k/pa lease with all maint etc.....does anyone think I'm being a tad optimistic?

Some other employees have recently had accepted Audi A4 1.8 TSI S line, a top spec Mitsubishi Outlander with full leather and Sat Nav and a 2.2 C5 Exclusive with leather and Sat Nav plus more on top (and he gets some money back as well!). However one guy was refused a 2 litre petrol Mondeo Titanium X as it was too dear to lease...all very odd.

Any thoughts on whether I will get my wish? Even if I don't I'm going to lower my sights to an SE and add paark assist and sat nav and try again.

Dan
