We keep hearing about the rise in metal prices worldwide, so I figure there must be some scrap value for old alloys.

Anyone know what sort of money you can get for them?

How much does a typical 17" alloy weigh?

About £6-£7 for 15" to 17" maybe more weighed a 18" one in locally and got £9

Yeah - normally get around £400 to £500 per ton for alloy wheels without tyres.

Alloys are only good for the scrapyard when literally become beyond economical repair, compared to their value after a refurb. I kind of regret dropping one of my knackered alloys at the local dump a couple of years back (from my crash) - would be worth a few quid now.
