Tyre Mileage

Featured Replies

I have just replaced a set of Falken Ziex ZE-326 195/65 R15 after 61,000 miles on Irish roads, the car is a 2000 1.6 petrol with 165,000 miles on the clock.I was interested to know what life other owners are getting from their tyres.Needless to say i have gone for the same tyre again.

61000 miles  Do you not have corners in Ireland :D

5000miles - Continental conti-sport tyres powersliding the front end does the job of wasting your tyres very well! Mr Bean wouldn't get 60k out of the tyres on his mini!!

Done about 33000 miles so far. But my front tyres will need replacing soon.

Got about 15,000 miles out of each of my first two sets and my Falkens have about 17,000km on them so far and are getting close to changing.

Pirelli P6000(standard fit from new)

Fronts- 20000 miles

Rears - 25000 miles

Just under 24,000 miles with about 3.5mm all round out of a set of Conti Sport Contacts which have been on from new. I'm trying to scrub them down a bit to fit my new Eagle F1 Asymmetrics.

15k max

ive struggled to ever get over 12-15k out of any tyres ive had since i past my driving test.

On my Mk1 TDI I got 40k from the fronts and 60k from the rears

Sounds like my dad. He can buy a car from new, keep it over four years and not change the tyres, trading it in with about 4mm of tread left.:D

On my MKII TDI 140, rear tyres have done 40K miles now, and fronts I changed recently. They had covered 35K miles. Rears have a fair amount of tread left so I guess will be on for a while yet.

I do lots of motorway miles which helps the tyre life.

The 2.0TDI Octy II only does about 25k a set

Usually around 30k front, 60k rear.

In my younger days, burned a set of Eagle NCT's on the front of a Clio RSI in 4,000 miles

They were £80/tyre THEN!

They were rotated every 10,000 miles at service time which helps.:)

Woo 60K out of tyres! Again Im lucky to get 15K out of mine, I guess its how you drive!

I never saw better than 10K with my MKI :(

24,000 miles Bridgestone tyres on my MkI and only half worn.
