Fabia: too bright main beam warning light

Featured Replies

It's so rare to use main beam that I was amazed how bright the main beam warning light is on my wife's Fabia when we recently did a very late night trip. The warning light is absolutely dazzling shining directly into your eyes. I'm considering trying to get at the warning light bulb to either mask it, or even remove it. However I'm rather worried about removing the instrument panel to get at it. Is removal of the instrument panel fairly easy or has anyone got any suggestions apart from not driving at night!?

As a temporary fix stick some smoked film on the Instrument glass in the appropriate area.
