from m1 head towards stanmore - theres a housing estate next to the stations car park and you can park down there for free i found this out a wile back:) but the tube car parks only lik £3 a day depends if its full or not. then tube it in?

Im heading there next tuesday or wednesday with some mates:)

Cheers Leon

i'm going Thursday

so what we anyone recommend coming from oxford way, to drive in? park up on the outskirts and tube it in (oxo), or park at oxford and oxford tube it?

It starts at 10am to 2100

I'm taking the Train then tubing it in. Dont fancy driving for over 4 hours into London then parking.

If anyones training it in tomorow maybe I'll see you at the station!!

The Jubilee Line is recommended as the quickest route to ExCeL London. At Canning Town change to the DLR (upstairs on platform 3) for the quick two-stop journey to Custom House for ExCeL Station (not King George V).

Adding some travel info

This may seem ignorant on my part but what code do I use for the free tickets?

This link also isn't working for me!

Can anyone help???

Thanks

The link has changed the front page, sorry don't know the code.

Think you cant get the freebies now.

It only lasted something like 24 hours

They've been available for weeks, I posted loads of links in Freedom.

I went yesterday and the free tickets work fine.

They were barely giving them a second glance

Used free tickets today, glad they were free as well - I'd have been devastated to have paid to get in there.

big warning to anyone using the ones free from shell this weekend. you have to upgrade them and they cost £10 to upgrade:eek:

I argued the point that its just two of us and i was meant to be on a pair of tickets not a family ticket so therefore couldnt see the point in paying an upgrade and we settled for £4 upgrade.

plenty of parking and parking seemed safe enough but was at a price of £10 which was cheaper than tube and train. However if you coming in from the west AVOID london and come around the M25 to the far east and either up through the limehouse link or come in from the east on the A13.

We normally drive to Raynes Park and jump on the train into Waterloo for the tube. It cost us £11.98 for two all day travel cards today.

get many freebies stu? i was disappointed with what i felt was lack of quality, let alone decent freebies.

AutoGlym i felt let themselves down with the wrok they did on their cars, the red ones really showed up scratches and i was embarassed to admit i used their stuff after seeing them, discount wise wasnt much, even when i explained my weekend love affair with AG products.

Shell goodie bag was ok, you get a magazine, a book, magazine, some money off vouchers and the shell hat which kept the sun off me outside.

free lollies and soft drink with Ford, swmbo had to donate money to a charity to get a honda bag, vauxhall and chevvie gave away eco bags and a cd which were not bad. free cup from pug lot, free samples from gillette, free sunglasses bag from tomtom (and managed to get the latest update code for the tomtom speed camera database which they carelessly left close to hand  (one spare to first person to pm me for it). topgear mag for 3 quid. free tshirt, chav hat and beenie from the toyo lot when i beat swmbo in a jigsaw puzzle compo (yeah great shes had the tshirt from me already). kia and a couple of the smaller car firms giving out free notbad quality bags. HATO and DVLA refective straps for the kids and a tyre tredth depth thing and a sunblind (pretty crap) and a few other bits of crap here and there.

Oh got 50 bonus shell points at the shell stand (x2) and talked the lovely lass into giving me one of their spare lanyards which was imho a better freebie:thumbup:

Totty not bad, but cant be seen looking to much with swmbo at side.

Also did the mazda challenge and glad i did it early looking at the queue. told i was one of the best so far with 22 sec on first and 23 on second run (first in FWD and second in RWD) and scored 4 out of 5 on everything apart from their voom factor where i scored 5:D the best so far that day was 21 and i was 3rd best as a girl beat me by a fraction of a second on the second run, but would love to do it again now ive experienced it, wished i read the auto express mag on the event before going.

Non of the big firms were giving anything out, pinched a load of pens as i do from various stalls after filling out competition forms with various forms of my address/mobile etc  might here one call on scott mills flirt divert number.

Drive through central london at 8.30 am was crap and busy, couldnt beleive the amount of speed cameras and mobile traps i had to pass :(

Will try and get some pictures up tomorrow too.

I went to look at the cars to be honest mate. If you go there looking for freebies you'll normally be disappointed and come away with a bagful of cr@p that you neither want nor need.

I did buy the TG mag though, not £3 but £1 from the TG stall where they had the Police cars.

I got the Top Gear mag too , and a couple of photos of the plod cars.

we just went really for the experience and a day out and to start with wasnt expecting freebies, but as you go round its always worth comparing the companies over the freebies.

Ive added some pics onto my facbook account now anyway and once i get sinisters pics on too ill try and put some over on here.
