Boot Net Thingymajig Help

Featured Replies

On the right hand side of my Boot i have a Net thingy were you can put say a first aid kit etc. Its the one with the metal bar thing running through it. Mine has broken off when something (i think it was my petrol can) has hit it whilst driving.

Does anyone know how easy it is to fix as it seems to be secured to the boot lining. Or has anyone had this fixed by a dealer and if so how much was it

Cheers

Arm yourself with your chassis number as there are two variants.

Mine came off too

I drilled the trim and fastened a small descreet tywrap on it

lot less than £60

Mine is loose too. The plastic lug on the upright has been broken. I plan to drill it and use a pop rivet to secure the metal bar in place.

Mine's like that too, although I never noticed when I first bought it, they don't seem very robust do they.

I want to take it out completely and staple my fire extinguisher carrier in there, next to the first aid kit. However, it seems it's bonded to the carpet somehow.

I'll look into it more when I have the time.

can you make another long bar bit to go where the original was and fix it in that way?

I can't remove it completely, but by the looks of it, only the vertical sides are fastened, because one broke off, and I can now swing the horizontal bit to about 45 degrees and no obvious securing system is there.

I am thinking of getting one with a carrier like the image below, which are fairly common around here. Although not chrome, but the usual red.
