I am thinking of buying an Octavia vRS , either the new CR or the petrol, maybe with DSG. My only reservation about the cars is the standard stereo, which I think is poor, particularly the radio. Does any one know if the stereo which comes with the optional sat-nav is better than the standard one. If not, any tips on how to get a better stereo installed?

If you do a search I'm sure you'll find serveral reports on the improved radio quality of the new Satnav...

I currently drive a 1.9TDI Elegance with the Stream system and the option sound system [ 12 speakers ] : I think that this works well

I drove a VRS TDI PD on friday as I'm looking at upgrading : the test car had the standard Stream and it doe indeed sound poor.

I think I will go for the sound system option again if I upgrade ...
