Rockingham Raceway

Featured Replies

Went to Rockingham Raceway today with my dad on a Porsche and Ferrari experience,(them activity packs you get from Argos etc)

We had to be there for 930 this morning ,we had a fry up while waiting for the briefing and then it all started (was i excited ...hell yeah!)

At first we had to go and get helmets fitted, not the most flattering of helmets i must say everyone looked stupid!

Then they took us out in a Mini CooperS first to show us the track before they let us in the supercars

Then we got in the supercars,i was in the Ferrari 360 and my dad had the Porsche 911 Turbo

The instructor wouldn't let me in top gear, saying only to use 3rd and 4th:( (i still got upto 150mph tho!) There was cones all round the track telling us when to brake and accelerate and in total did 6 laps with the instructor when normally they only do 3 laps so was pleased about that,it went so quick tho i didnt want to get out!

Only managed a couple of pictures tho,but we both had a great day, highley recommended

Rockingham experiences always seem cheap, yet the content seems far less than the likes of Silverstone IMO.

And??? How was the Modena?

And??? How was the Modena?

The 360 was ace!

Handled well and that exhaust note was awesome, mine didnt have paddle shifts:(

The manual was harder to get into gear because of the gear gate but all was well

They said they go through brake discs every 3 weeks!
