Sennheiser CX300 In Ear Headhones -

Featured Replies

Have been looking to get a decent pair of in ear headphones (without paying silly money) and the Sennheiser CX300 were on the shortlist at an RRP of £40, highly recomended and 5 stars in What Hi-Fi magazine.

After a bit of searching I managed to get a brand new pair via Play.com using 'PlayTrade' for the stupid price of just £7.49 inc delivery!! and thought I'd pass this on to you guys

Bargain!!! I got a pair of these for free when I subscribed to What Hifi earlier this year, and they are waaaay better than the standard iPOD ones.

Still prefer my old Sony Fontopias though. :(

Sony headphones Mr Fish form Argos £30 :D.Go on tight ar*e.;)

I have some like that. They are ace

Another vote for the CX300's...

I recently bought SWMBO some pink ones to go with her pink iPod for about £12, and I thought that was cheap having paid £18 for mine. :)

Oh i have had Sennheiser earphones before but not as good sound quality as the sony. And i listen to my mp3 player nearly every day so i should no :finger:.:P:D

I bought a pair of the CX300's and found them very irritating so they are now in the bin.

I found the Sony ones that came with my PSP to be VERY quiet. :thumbdwn: Yeah ok they were just some bundled with jobbies but they weren't even up to the level of the ones shipped with an iPod.

If that's the case then I don't mind chucking 'em away at that price.

Tbh the pair I really wanted were the Shure SE110's but cannot justify spending fifty quid on them .................................... or if you were feeling really flush then the Shure SE420's !

As said above, these really are crackin earphones.. the earbud design takes a bit of experimenting and getting used to which size buds fit best...

ive always been a sony fanboi before these.. but im a convert now :D

Had the CX300 but now got Bose, thumpin sound and come with an ipod sized case and neat neck cord so you can pull em out and they stay close by. also very comfy.

I have CX300.

As said the design takes some getting used to but the quality is brilliant

I bought some of these for £32 over 2 years ago and they have been abused all over the world. The cord has been stretched bent into weird and wonderful positions but they still work!! I also use them for running and mountain biking as well as normal day to day and they are great!!!

Also apparently the ones on Play trade for that cheap are fake  Don't know if it's true or not.

I have 2 pairs of fairly cheap Sennheisers: a full-size set for the main stereo and in-ear ones for the Minidisc, and for the money, they are unbeatable: the in-ear ones are much better than the standard sony ones.

Got them from Amazon for £17 a while back. They are really good for the money.

I like my CX300s - they seem to me to sound and fit slightly better than the Sony Fontopias I had before, though there's not a lot in it. Even at £18 I'd say they're well worth it.

Sure SE210 :)

Neither the Sony or CX300 will stay in my ears :(

Change your ears then. :P:D

How would one tell the difference between real & fake?

I got mine yesterday and as far as I'm concerned they are the real deal, delighted with them , packaging and everything looks identical to those in PC World :)

Just ordered some

Cheers :D

Dug my ones out of my drawer. They sound so much clearer and detailed than my Fontopias, but I really can't get them to be comfy. Seems wierd as my Fontopias are really comfy, and they look of similar design. Ah well.

How are the CX300's then if they've arrived? I was looking a while back and the MX500 got great reviews but I never got round to purchasing so for a £8 I might be tempted.
