How are the CX300's then if they've arrived? I was looking a while back and the MX500 got great reviews but I never got round to purchasing so for a £8 I might be tempted.

Go for it, happy with them so far

I have had some cx300's for a while, they are tidy little headphones once you get the position right, mine have been accidentally washed twice in the washing machine and still work.

paid bloody £40 for mine though :)

They are not quite as good as my Shure E2C's though, but they were double the price and that was a couple of years ago

OK Ta - Ordered.

I have just received my new ones. :D

They are Sennheiser MX660's to replace some MX500's I have had for quite a while.

After trying the CX300's and being impressed with the sound these are equally as good but are not the ear canal design which I cannot get on with.

Bought from Amazon.co.uk for £19.75 and well worth every penny.

Just got some CX400's from amazon, £9.99 + £3.98pp.

Well worth it, cracking sound:thumbup:

Dunno what the difference is between these and CX300's.

Good deal Steve, but I didn't get on with them either. Couldn't get them to sit comfortably.

Went for some Bose Triports after that and haven't regretted that descision

Glad they suit you though....

Steve

I obviously didn't do my research! I just paid £15 for my CX300s and thought I got a good deal! They were only delivered this morning so haven't had a chance to try them yet. Bought them from Amazon too. I've always bought Sennheisers, always thought the sound quality was great for the money. :)

I brought my CX300s at full price when they were first released and I'm still using them with no glitches. Once you get used to the sense of pressure on your ears and the isolation amplifying *everything* (including your footsteps, and even the cable rubbing on your clothes) they're fantastic. The depth and clarity of the bass alone is worth the price. At current prices I'm almost tempted to buy another pair in case mine go south.
