Golf MK6 - Some clues for the Octy II Facelift maybe

Featured Replies

I think you may well be right Stu.

Any ideas on dates for facelift Mk2.5s? Wonder if its this year or next??

I must say, I'm not too keen on the rear lights of that new Golf. Looks like a they run out of money and just used Tuaraeg ones.

I think they look great personally!

Like the electric window switches panel on the door, just like the Mk1 Leon.

Its a 10 fold improvement over the interior of the MkV imho. :)

I think the golf should have got LED lights as per the passat and golf plus myself.

Have been given an indication that there may be a possible limited edition 'run out' of the vRS similar to what Skoda did with the Fabia vRS which sounded quite interesting.

I think first build of the MK2.5 is scheduled for Wk33.

Interesting...any further info?

I think the only info at the moment was regarding colour options - White or Anthracite Grey.

It was intimated the the options pack would equal £2k or £2.5k IIRC, of which it was suggested should include Cruise, Maxidot, Rear Parking, Jumbo Pack and Xenons.

Custom interior with seat number as per the Fabia SE was also mentioned.

Ah, so nothing 'special' about it then :(

But then the Fabia SE wasn't particularly special was it?

..........................also a mention of possibly 19" alloys too

The 'special' part is the driver.

The 'special needs' part is the driver.

:)

With the Golf... have they just added a sharp line to the sides, and given it the rocco nose?

Not a big difference from the current model but it is a little bit better.

:thumbdwn: Not even an improvement on the dull lardy mk V shape.

I like it overall, but not a massive move forward at the same time. The new headlights and grille are welcome, but the rears look like a bit of an afterthought. Mind you they look a bit 'shopped anyway, so maybe they'll change.

More of a MK5.5 than MK6.

Steve

so is this a completely different car or just a facelift?

That will mean cheaper to build then :)

Looks just like an A3 side on (cover the bonnet up ;)), and kind of Astra-ish in the 5door angled rear pic.

I quite like the look of it - be intresting to see what it looks like in GT/GTI guise

Preview in Autocar this week...

No R32 apparently!

Yes there will be the GTI and GTI-R - which is replacing the .:R32.

£30 a year road tax on the 108bhp diesel!
