Ross, as the guru that you indeed are :)

Can you recommend anything to match for the rear of the Octavia... or the Fabia come to that ?

I want these on my Fabia

They come free with a Superb.. :P

For the rear you can use the aero wiper from polo 9n/golf mk5. If you need a longer blade (possible for octavia) use the polo 9n cap and arm and the toureg blade.

50 ish quid...

still haven't concocted a foolproof plan for the rear though :o

are they much better?

They are on my Superb, they give a very even and consistent sweep/wipe.

Some super dooper spod geek weirdo steering group task team at Audi (I would think) probably spent three years perfecting the design...

as a result, they are pretty good...

they look much cleaner (i.e fuss free)

and as an added bonus (for me 'cos my priorities are messed up) they hold themselves to the screen much better and as a result do the job they are supposed to (my old wipers were always a bit poo ! :( )

I can see all manufacturers using them.

im not too sure on the looks but if the work better thats most important

I had a problem with the std wipers on my A3 lifting off the screen at around 140-160 kph. I changed to the Aero Wipers, and at 200 kph hit the washer jets...... while not perfect, they still cleared the screen

They are also MUCH quieter than the std ones. You can hit the wipers on a dry without much noise at all, whereas the std wipers protested LOUDLY :smashfrea

:D

Are you serious? ;)

Where would the boy racers put their dayglo orange wiper fin/vane/spoiler type thingies if all the manufacturers switched to aero wipers?

 they would find a way Mike... they would find a way :)

Can you supply part numbers and prices......

These are the VW AERO Wiper part numbers in that SEAT Cupra.net Forum post:

1J2955426A - Drivers Side Blade -

I've had the front aero wipers fitted already and when I pick the car up tomorrow I'll give the rear polo aero wiper a try and post a pic.

These part numbers for the fabia????

To hijack the topic slightly, the rear wiper arm on the later Octy vRS's are different to the older ones. How much are these as they look better :D

Here's a photo of the aero rear wiper fitted to my Octavia Estate:
