Taster Day Feeler

Briefly returning back on topic, was there any feedback from the day on things you liked/didn't like? Was 2 longish drives enough, or would you have preferred to drive with more people but on shorter routes? Did the routes provide enough different types of roads and challenges? Despite being informal, was there enough structure to get something out of it?

I've had a few e-mails asking when the next one is, so if people are interested I'll happily organise another one. Dates are still to be decided, but I'm thinking it'll probably be after Xmas now.......

Just read this, and think I'd go with "halves", taking "accelerating" to mean any time when you're using the throttle to accelerate or maintain speed, but not rolling into a hazard on a closed throttle and not braking. Braking to mean actively using the brakes (even if gently).

Coasting on a closed throttle is only for when you will not be able to make progress due to the nature of the hazard (eg catching the end of a tailback, or a vehicle you know you can't overtake due to the twisty road ahead).
