Engine transplant

I know it might not be the correct place to post this question, but as it has to deal with Eire, I think I'm half right there! :P

Does someone knows more on the topic..? Insurance, and such...

I believe you have to change the details on the registration documents so that the appropriate amount of car tax can be applied. Also the insurance company will also need to know as they will void the insurance if you defraud them.
