this picture inspired me to put my drip tray back on....

If mine was that low, I wouldn't even be able to get off my drive, let alone actually travel anywhere.

Its what.. 2mm until its resting on the floor.

Come on, your coilovers must be able to drop another 2mm.!

Think that would be a new bench mark for everyone.!

Lower than a ruddy F1 car:rofl::rofl:

i need to remove it again, scrapes going along my car park and thats a flat surface!

Right guys, i want to know what coilovers you are all running, and if you can go lower than 75mm. I want to go lower, but simply cant with my set up.

At the moment, my coils are wound right down at front and adjusters are out the back and it is 75mm lower than my mums VRS.

My undertray catches the ground all the time. Class.

Probs the best side on pic i have. Still not really that low.

This is when it was about 15-20mm higher. On the Mercs.

Going to get the new 17's on on Sunday, and do some arch work.

Will post pics when thats done.

mines on kw v1's,and in that pic it could have gone quite a bit lower:thumbup:

But i have too admit somthing..............i don't drive it that low anymore,it started rubbing alot on the front with the 215/40/17's on octy spiders, the correct size i believe is 205's on a fabia, and the 215's gave more grip on track, and it handles better when raised up a bit:D

where u get the steelies? (for any paticular car?) looks lush!

KTP what the hell is your setup to get the drip tray that close to the ground!!!!!

thats crazy lowwww

Mine too. Mine's raised a bit from the usual "slammage" and I still get rubbing on the back sometimes. Fronts very occasionally. I seem to have my ideal height really. Low enough to be "low" but high enough to be user friendly without appearing like a rollerskate. I seriously think spacing my wheels 15mm have also "filled the arches" to give that lowered effect without having to have toyo meeting plastic arch liner (or metal wing!!!)

vmaxx coils wound all the way down, no adjusters, no helper springs.

How low is that buddy as im lowering on OEM wheels?

Would you suggest removing the adjusters or is that just silly

This is a good shot to show standard to COILovers.

Looks sweet on steelies. U know if they fit over 312 brakes? Woud like a set for winter with some rainsports on.

Yes the 312's fit under them, JUST!

They are 16" Beetle Steels im sure.

Cant remember how wide but.

There are some banded bettle steels for sale on Edition 38. Man I was tempted!

I'll just laugh at the lot of you when you get grounded on a speed bump or you get wet feet/fried electrics with the increasing propensity for flooding. I could never understand the desire to lower by that extreme amount. If anything the way the weather is going, the profusion of speed calming measures and the poorer upkeep of road surfaces I'd think that better ground clearance would be preferable.

1: Because it looks cool

2: Due to the low appearance, the look is cool

3: As you look at the form of the lowered car, it looks cool

4: Because low + wide = cool

I can go on.........

PS Stuart Hatch, your car is superb, so so OEM+ it's unreal

My furb is high, but in my defence I do "rally it" a bit, my golf was pretty low but beaten by Stuart, my "work in progress" is low though, about as high as a wheelie bin in total, 3" sump clearance..........

Cheers, just got another special set of BMW wheels the other night :)
