Tyre pressure warning light (vRS)

Featured Replies

Hey guys the warning light for tyre pressure just came on on my way home.

Ive been round the tyres one was set to 3bar and two were at 2bar and one was just under 2bar.

Anyway Ive now set them all to 3bar and the light is still on...

Any idea's? Ive booked it in to the dealer for monday, as usual they dont have a car I can use so I have to wait....

Anyone the wiser?

Cheers

Pete

You have to reset the system by pressing the button underneath the climat(ic)ronic controls for a couple of seconds. Just until it will say "bling" ;)

Can only relay our recent experience with this system in a Mercedes A class .

Tyre pressure warning light came on - 3 tyres within reasonable " normal pressure band " and one higher which burnt my hand when I touched the alloy .

With this car you can manually reset the tyre pressure sensor warning .

The alleged cause was a brake pad disintegrating and the wheel had almost locked up . This is a common problem apparently which is a worry because the car had only recently been serviced and the service intervals are two years ( in time at least ) !

Yip, as above the warning light will stay on (or keep reappearing) until the button is held in for a few seconds to reset (effectively, telling the system that the current pressure is correct).
