Totally agree. I'm so much more away of other road users now and also how unsmooth people drive.

Do you do the "why dont you do IAM if you so good" thought at them?

And a few days ago Mr Scoobychris went for his IAM and kept very very quite about it, the results have been on the quiet side too, but has however passed, well done mate

In Chris's case it was more of a case of filling in a missing square on the bingo card. Of course, he took it seriously, as he does with all of his driving, and the result was a pass with flying colours.

Thanks for the congrats. As Nick says, I was lucky enough that work offered to pay for me to do IAM to make me a "safer driver" so I had to take it seriously, although I think my observer was a bit shocked with my assessment drive when I gave him the works :o:D

Refreshingly my examiner was a car enthusiast who enjoyed use of offsiding/straightlining and also making use of the full rev range of the car to maximise progress which restored my faith in the IAM  He also suggested he didn't believe my training was limited to the IAM course, but that's another story ;)

im glad there are still examiners there who like the offsiding and striaght lining. i think they too scared to teach it these days. Im just wondering how mine would have reacted if i had given it a scooby chris drive on the revs. i did do the striaght lineing and offsiding which impressed him but its not something they want pupils doing :(
