Problem with stream radio

Featured Replies

I went to fill up tonight and was listening to the radio, when i got back in and started up there was no sound from the radio yet everything was OK on the display so I turned it off and back on again then the RDS station names disappeared and only the station frequency showed.

Anyone any ideas or could the ariel have come out on the back of the set as it was removed to fit the parrot hands free kit that still works through the speakers OK not try-ed a CD yet though

Press & hold the menu button in for 10 seconds until the display changes to show you the info for the aerial etc. Top left should be ANT: ON. The volume bar along the bottom will now be signal strength.

Common problem, I guess like everyone else who has had the problem that the radio has been fine today.

Your correct Mannyo, came out this morning and it worked????????

I've had a similar problem where I lose all sound once or twice. Switching the ignition on and off cures it though.

Me too, but have now changed it for a Stream MP3 - much better sound :)

When I press and hold the menu button on my Strem, top left says ANT: OFF so how do turn it on???

The aerial base has an amplifier built in which is powered by 12v from the HU through the coax lead, either the coax is faulty or most likely the aerial base is duff or corroded. If it's still under warranty take it to your dealer. You can't turn the ANT on, it has to be powered on, I guess the display says mono & not stereo?

If you do a search back you will find a great deal about problems with this radio, same on the Net reams of the stuff, but Skoda claim they have never heard about a problem:mad:

I had some problems with my Stream radio [ with sound system ] in my Octy elegance.

- Radio was draining battery : resolved by software upgrade

- The software upgrade then deleted the Audio menu from the Maxidot

- Radio was replaced under warranty

- A few months later, no sound : was resolved by restarting car.

My next car will have the audience ... fingers crossed ...
