Fabia heater won't turn off!

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

Bit of a strange one this...

With it being the warmer months I've not needed to have the heater on since I bought my car, however over the weekend the missus was feeling a bit nippy so I popped the heating on. This would have been fine, a short burst I thought just to bring up the temp a little, however when I turned the dial back to cool the heater continued to pump out hot air - not just warm either, it was like it was on full whack! I ended up having to drive along with the windows down or risk passing out from heat exhaustion. Oddly it righted itself after about 10 minutes of me turning the dial and getting generally irate but it's happened twice now, anyone have any ideas?

It's probably the conections between the temp selector and the mixer box that are iffy (presumes not an aircon model).

Temp flap motor fault, pretty well covered.

It is an air-con model, does that make a difference then?

Flap motor as lummox said
