Debadged my vRS today

Featured Replies

After seeing some examples on here, decided to debadge the rear.

Much cleaner lines now.

I used the dental floss "sawing" action and the letters came away easily.

Bit of T-cut to smooth things out and hey-presto.

Hope you like the results :)

:)Looking good.....did mine the other week.

Looks good im doing mine tomos:cool:

god this is getting common, might put my badges back on;)

Looks good much better.I done mine last week also.

I've been considering doing mine: I like the look, and the badges are a pain to clean around, which is why I took them off my Ibiza and A3.

am i the only person who prefers the badges to be left on?? altho i think it looks nice all smooth at the back, i don't think il be doing it to mine!! each to their own i suppose, if its what you like then fair enuff!

Yes!

Dental floss is a new one, good thinking though.

Car looks great.

next job, take the sticker off your window although we can probs do without the photo update after that mod :)

I might try the floss techneque on the side strips. How easy is it to cut through the foam backing with floss? And, will in cut through the foam, or peel the foam right off?

And did you need to use white sprit to get the glue off, or just use T-Cut? I had to use white sprit on my rear badges.

Thanks, Dave.

Very clean and makes all the diffrence.

Cuts right through the foam, leaving it stuck to the car :(

But its easy enough to peel off, if you are careful and patient you can get it all off in one go, though it does tend to tear easily.

Yeah, bit of white spirit was used also.

I wonder if when the foam is left on, wether you could stick gaffa tape to it and peel it off? Hummm?

nope im with ya on that one! by takin them off its like your tryin to hide what kinda of car ya have. be proud to drive a skoda fabia! thats what i say!!!

hot water or even a hair dryer is what ive been recommended. ive been meaning to de badge mine as it makes it harder for car jackers to work out what the car is, but sinister thinks its chavvy.
