Not quite. It's just round the corner on the vernon road roundabout. It used to be a car showroom. They made really good progress with demolition but everything seems to have slowed down now. Dunno when it'll be ready.

The St Nic has been closed to be done up though.

And it appears that you were correct about the St Nic. Travelodge dumped their plans for the smaller hotel when the St Nic became available and bought that. That'll be why the progress has slowed on the original site!!

this sounds interesting..... its a bit far for us for the day, but if there's camping at Andy's caravan park, then me swmbo and HC may come along for the weekend!

we'll let you know when we get close enough for a weather report, and if PP and swmbo fancy the odd beer of the saturday night

Hi all,

Ok the plan I have is to meet in the Burnistan Road car park in Scarborough at 11am, I'm planning to drive from Scarborough to Bridlington if that is ok with everyone, stop at Jack's chippy in Bridlington, (I'm not sure on Bridlington, so if peeps who know it quite well pm me to suggest a place to park up) have some lunch, gather some photos and if time allows maybe take in a wee bit of Briskoda golf for a laugh.

I will be leaving Bridlington say about 4 or 5pm to make the long trek back to edinburgh as I need to be at work the next again day (unless I pick up a mystery illness.

I'm also just waiting on a route from one of the members on here.

Tesco have a large supermarket car-park directly behind Jacks' which would make the ideal place to meet , there is a 9 hole golf course at Sewerby park if folks fancied a drive after lunch its about 20 mins away, not sure on the costs these days.
