I work just up the street from the EuroMotor Cars Rolls and Bentley repair shop in Rockville, former colony of Maryland. Every day there's a roll back with one model or another Roller or Bentley being unloaded for service. Beautiful machines...old or new. Always fun to watch. Imagine my suprise today at seeing a new Bentley Continental GT parked in front!

Its really a nice car! I guess for nearly $160,000 (including a $3700 gas guzzler tax!) it should be. W-12, DOHC, twin turbo, 6 speed automagic tranny, and all the neat stability controls that you would expect from VW.

This one included a number of high cost options...including, if you can believe it!!! a heated steering wheel (~$400). Leather....EXCUSE ME!!! a "HIDE" interior. A nice camel color on comfy looking saddles. The only thing that was a little weird looking was the pinky/yellowey/reddy/brownie wood dash and trim... that looked really C*H*E*A*P!!! I'd have gone for burled walnut.

I suppose since the Bently is part of VAG, we might tempt some owners to this site .

I suppose we could help in advising how they can mod it.

I saw one in London the other Sunday. The guy hammered it away from the lights, and it sounded like a Spitfire on full throttle! Lovely.........
