Car compliments/comments

Featured Replies

Was giving my car a good clean today and was thinking of some of the comments it has recieved.

One girl said it had a nice interior and felt homely an comfortable

And my mate asked if my front tyres were new when we went to Oulton Park for the BTCC. He was close as the back ones were new ;) the front ones are the oldest and just waxxed :D

The compliments I tend to get after cleaning mine where I live are eggs thrown at it :thumbdwn:

in leeds? never:thumbup:

everytime i wash mine it gets shat on by those lovely rats with wings

On the odd occasion i can be bothered to clean mine i always get some witty neighbor ask if i'm doing their car next

I always hear "Oh no not another Skoda Taxi suprise, suprise"

I usually say I'll do it for a tenner - usually get no response apart from a forced laugh.

its usually their car thats the dirtiest in the street and often dented to hell.

When I had my S500 people always used to ask me about it.

Mostly because of the unusual colour, if there are any Mercedes people on here it was a W140 5.0 (330bhp) in Aragonite Metallic.

I used to spend ages cleaning it and it looked amazing, I never saw another S-Class in that colour, saw a few C's and E's but apparently not many people where weird enough to have that colour on a S most where silver or black.

I miss it so much, I sold it to a guy in Germany who collects Mercedes and had looked all over Europe for an S500 in the colour.

Whats Aragonite Metallic?

THIS and it is an odd, but very nice looking colour!

"What's that, an Audi?"

"Na, Skoda"

"Oh"

Judge at show and shine - "In second place we've got Simon and his Skoda (away from mic) is it really a skoda??"

Oooh thats a nice blue

What Skoda have you got Simon?

Fabia VRS. Not de-badged or anything, but I think the chairman of the VW club was a little surprised a skoda came second in it's class!!

I was talking to a neighbour about part ex ing my fabia for a bigger car , he said that he would get a classy motor like an Audi if he could afford one. When i bought the Superb ,he said ---so you got an Audi then , could'nt believe Skoda made cars like it.

I've been asked several times why I chose to buy a Skoda, and when I say I wanted something quick and fun to drive, people say things like 'oh, I didn't know Skoda made things like that.'

Other comments I get are usually along the lines of 'That's a really nice colour', or 'You keep that well, what do you use on it?' which can take quite a while to answer. :)

I've had a lot of comments about my Fun. More than once, people have offered to buy it off of me (got offered £4k at a petrol station!) and have been offered straight swaps for peoples cars! Once, saw a chav at a carpark full on looking at it, so much so that he walked into a lamp-post. If people are filling up when i'm at a petrol station, I usually get positive comments on it...

Its always attracting attention!
