Seat Ibiza Cupra

Featured Replies

Details of the new Seat Ibiza Cupra, from car online. It will be a 3 door sporthatch model only with a 1.4 TSI engine developing 176 BHP. And the 7 speed DSG will be available,

So it makes me wonder about the new Fabia vRS. Seat always get the most powerful engines, so I'm thinking maybe 150 BHP for the Fabia, and as for DSG? Maybe not.

I quite like the new ibiza and the cupra version looks stunning, love that exhaust system.

I doubt they'd stick DSG in it - I personally am not convinced it is the right thing to use in the vRS anyway, but one day we'll see ;)

I saw a mk5 Ibiza in a Seat garage today and was sorely dissapointed :( granted it was poverty spec S range but just didn't look right. The mk4 looked good whether it was an S spec or Cupra!

Not keen on the new shape & even the cupra looks to high but i did liked the mk4 Cupra!

it could well be a combination of the red and the angles, but in the pics in that link it looks a bit like a Henry

:)

Kerching!

Less power in the new Cupra than in the old? Surely the new one is heavier too? Poor show Seat. :thumbdwn:

Feck! That Cupra is one ugly Mo-Fo.....

Nope! For once the replacement model is lighter! Believe the base model comes in at 975kg.

I for one am pleased; go for less weight and modest power than this increasing cycle of obese superminis with stupid power levels!
