The manual claims that transfering 100 songs of average length to the Columbus's hard drive takes 40minutes. At approx. 5Mb a track, that's just 12.5Mb a minute.

At that rate it would take 4 hours to transfer the files from 3Gb worth of SD cards, which is far longer than it took to rip them from CD and copy them to the cards in the first place.

Is the manual fibbing? Surely it can't be that slow. :confused:

It isn't fast I can tell you that.

I just copied over a Gb of music to the HD in about 20 minutes. 280 tracks. Not so slow after all.
